Software Project Schedule Management Based On Critical Chain

Since the software crisis was born in the last century sixty's,people have been looking for how to improve the production efficiency of the software industry,to make the software development project to success.From the software engineering,capability maturity model,unified software development process,to the present rapid development,number of theories and methods was born,and is still evolving.But how to ensure the quality of software development projects in the planning time and the scheduled cost delivery,is still plagued by numerous software project managers.The theory of project schedule management based on critical chain provides a new solution for the project management of the software industry.It solves the error of the inertia of the people by the compression schedule,and through the different kinds of buffer to deal with the uncertainty of the project execution.The resource constraint problem which can't be solved by the traditional critical path method is also dealt with,and the project time can be used more effectively.This is exactly what the traditional project scheduling software industry is missing.On the basis of project schedule management,this paper analyzes the application of critical chain theory in software project management system.Firstly we study the critical chain in the domestic and foreign research present situation,and then analyzes the JC company's software project schedule management in terms of progress plan and control the status quo and problem exists,then the critical chain method is introduced into the development of JC company MI project,puts forward a new project progress plan and control pattern based on critical chain,and through the comparison of MI project execution results and traditional project management methods,objectively reflects the rationality of the critical chain theory.Finally summarized the MI project related experience,with a view to the JC company and the software industry project management to provide useful reference.
