Over recent years,China's investment in industrial fixed assets has decreased year by year,and the profit growth in industrial enterprises has slowed down.ZS Company mainly focuses on design and takes industrial projects as its main business.Now the company is facing complicated and ever-changing market demand and increasingly tense competition.As a result,the performance management system which has been applied since the company was founded can no longer be useful in the present age to facilitate company growth.To survive more intense industrial competition and thus grow,the company must promote its core competence,and use a more appropriate and effective performance management concept and system to strengthen and support company management.Industrial projects are the core part of ZS Company's business for value creation.This paper has focused on the research of ZS Company's project management personnel,analyzed the root causes of performance management issues facing the company,set strategic targets and maps for the company based on a balanced score card,applied the MBO(management by objectives)method,KPI(key performance indicators)method,and the project success evaluation method to design an optimized solution for project management personnel,established key performance indicators at multiple levers,promoted the quality of PDCA Cycle with performance management,established an incentive system and effective protection,so as to effectively motivate project management personnel's potentials,improve the company's performance management system,comprehensively promote the company's core competence,successfully achieve strategic targets,and establish a high-quality,healthy,and sustainable development process.
