Study On The Relationship Between Manufacturing Global Value Chain Participation And Producer Services

With the birth of the global value chain,more and more countries' manufacturering joining in this new model of international division of labor.At the same time,the producer service industry gradually out of the manufacturing industry and become a separate industry.In this context,this paper quantitatively examines the role of producer services in promoting the integration of manufacturing into global value chain based on the method of value added decomposition in global value chain network.This paper introduces the generation and development of global value chain and producer services,summarized the impact of global value chain on the development of manufacturing industry and industrial upgrading and the interaction mechanism between manufacturing and producer services.This paper also analyzes the principle of producer services to promote manufacturing integration into global value chain.In this paper,the new and old ways of calculating the global value chain participation index are used to measure the degree of manufacturing integration into the global value chain,at the same time,this paper introduces two kinds of indexes which measure the developed level of producer services.Then these indexes were calculated and analyzed based on the data of various countries in the world,compared the development trends of developed countries and developing countries.Through empirical research,this paper proves that improving the development level of producer services has a positive effect on the integration of manufacturing industry into global value chain from both static and dynamic aspects,and by comparing the empirical results of developed and developing countries,it is proved that this kind of positive effect is more obvious in developing countries.At the end of the article,based on the results of quantitative measurement and regression analysis,paper puts forward some suggestions on how to develop producer services in developing countries and promote the integration of manufacturing industry into global value chain.
