The Influence Path And Mechanism Of Duality Learning On Corporate Performance

As Chinese market dynamic competition intensifies,companies must have stronger learning and innovation capabilities than their competitors if they want to have continuous competitive advantages and enhance their performance.Ambidexterity learning combines the advantages of exploratory learning and exploitative learning,and has become a key mechanism for enterprises to overcome resistance and enhance enterprise performance.This article uses the vertical case study of Zhuhai Gree Electric Appliances Inc.from 2001 to 2016,integrates ambidexterity learning,resource-based theory and dynamic capability theory into a research framework.Through reviewing literature and case study,it is found that the path of ambidexterity learning affect the enterprise performance is conducted through characteristic resources and dynamic capabilities.That is,the company first integrates and develops characteristic resources that can bring competitive advantage to the enterprise through ambidexterity learning.Characteristic resources refer to resources that have four characteristics: “Value,Rareness,Imperfect imitability,and Organization”.According to the research of the resource-based theory,the characteristic resources owned by the enterprise will bring about competitive advantages and performance improvement for a certain period of time.However,in today's fierce market competition,characteristic resources cannot bring sustainable competitive advantages to enterprises.Only by continuing to build and enhance dynamic capabilities through ambidexterity learning can companies adapt to a complex and dynamic market environment.Dynamic capabilities which made up of environmental insights,technological flexibility,organizational flexibility,transformation and updating capabilities.These enable companies to obtain sustainable competitive advantages in a complex market environment and ensure continuous performance improvement.The inspiration of this paper is that the key to stand out in the fierce market competition lies in ambidexterity learning.In the process of ambidexterity learning,we should focus on cultivating characteristic resources and improving the dynamic capabilities of the company.Then improve the competitive advantage of the enterprise and obtain good enterprise performance.
