In recent years,with the rapid development of national economy,the rapid development of express industry has been promoted,especially the rise and development of e-commerce has brought great business needs to the express industry which has ushered in the spring.According to the statistics,the average growth of express service enterprises above the national scale from 2011 to 2017 was more than 30%.In 2017,the total business volume of the express delivery service industry totaled 40 billion and 60 million,which increased 28.07% over the same period,and the total revenue of the entire express delive industry totaled 495 billion and 700 million yuan,which increased 23.77% over the same period.With the rapid development of the express industry,the competition of stateowned express,foreign express and private express is becoming more and more fierce in the Chinese express market.Among them,the foreign express companys are firmly holding the international express market,while accelerating the distribution of the domestic express market,extending its business to the less developed cites in China;the private express enterprises occupy the domestic express market share over 90%;other state-owned enterprises also have part of the express market share by virtue of their unique resources.As the earliest stateowned express company established in China,the postal express logistics company had monopolized the express market over a long period,which rely on a complete network and a large scale.But with the opening of the market and the rapid development of the peers,the market share of the post express logistics company had been overtaken by SF Express until 2015,subsequently which exposed a series of problems such as high operating costs,unclear product positioning,the strategic target dispersion,backward technology,lacking of professional talents and so on.Only the correct development strategy is made by the post express logistics company can the enterprise achieve rapid,healthy and sustained development in facing of enormous competition.During the research process,this thesis studies the development strategy of the postal express logistics company through the methods of literature analysis,theoretical analysis,investigation and so on.The thesis consists of six parts.The first part mainly introduces the background,purpose,significance,content and research method of the development strategy research of the postal express logistics company.The second part is about the basic theory of strategic theory and the research status at home and abroad.The third part mainly analyzes the development status and the existing problems of the postal express logistics company.The fourth part has used PEST analysis,Potter's five force analysis and SWOT to analyze the possible advantages and opportunities of the postal express logistics company;The fifth and The sixth part expounds the development strategy of the post express logistics company and the measures to ensure its implementation.The seventh part is the research conclusion and the prospect.Based on the research of postal express logistics company,using the theory of strategic management,and after a comprehensive analysis of the status and existing problems of the post express logistics company,this paper respectively analyzes the macro environment of the company's development,such as politics,economy,society and technology and so on;It analyzes five kinds of competitive power that affect the profitability of enterprises,such as bargaining power of suppliers,bargaining power of buyers,potential competitors' entry ability,substitution ability of substitutes and competitiveness of industries.Because of the fiercely competitive express market,this paper compares and analyses the main competitors such as foreign express,private express and state express company of the postal express logistics company;through analyzing the external opportunities and threats,the strengths and weaknesses of the postal express logistics companies,the optimization plan and improvement measures of enterprise development strategy are concluded finally.This paper aims to help the postal express logistics company to return to the domestic express industry first and have a brilliant future through the optimization of its development strategy.
