Research On The Relationship Between Urban Innovation Ecosystem And Innovation Performance

Accelerating the construction of "innovative countries" will focus on strengthening the city’s ability to innovate.Domestic studies on the differences in urban innovation capabilities have been interpreted by the academic community in terms of single or multiple aspects such as science and technology,R&D,location,locational advantages,innovative enterprises,investment and financing environment,industrial development,innovation culture,innovation environment,and talent concentration.There is still controversy over how to better enhance urban innovation capabilities and the impact of various innovation factors on urban innovation performance.The difference in the internal innovation ecosystem of each city is the deep-seated reason for the difference in urban innovation performance when the external innovation environment is roughly the same.This article discusses the impact of innovation ecosystem on urban innovation performance through theoretical and empirical parts,and reveals the key factors affecting urban innovation performance from the perspective of innovation ecosystem.The theoretical part discusses the related concepts,characteristics and influencing mechanisms of innovation ecosystem,urban innovation capability,and urban innovation performance.It analyzes the mechanism of innovation ecosystem to enhance urban innovation performance and divides the innovation environment of innovation ecosystem into: policy environment.,incubation environment,financial environment and cultural environment.Combined with the research results of relevant scholars,the evaluation index system of innovation ecosystem and the evaluation index of innovation performance were constructed.In the empirical part,the top ten cities in terms of innovation ability were selected: Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou,Shenzhen,Tianjin,Nanjing,Wuhan,Zhuhai,Chongqing,and Hangzhou as sample data for econometric analysis.Using principal component analysis and panel data regression analysis,we explored the impact of the four aspects of the innovation ecosystem: “policy environment”,“incubation environment”,“financial environment” and “cultural environment” on urban innovation performance,and studied its impact on urban innovation.Differences in performance contributions,exploring the key factors that affect urban innovation performance.The empirical results show that all aspects of the innovation ecosystem have a positive effect on urban innovation performance.Among them,the financial environment has the greatest impact on the city’s innovation performance;the cultural environment has a stronger role in promoting urban innovation output,second only to the financial environment.The impact on urban innovation performance;the impact of incubating environment on urban innovation performance is slightly weaker than the cultural environment,and the impact of policy environment on urban innovation needs further research and expansion.Based on the results of this study,we propose to improve the innovation ecosystem and create a virtuous cycle of innovation;increase investment in innovation,improve investment and financing mechanisms;strengthen cooperation between industry,universities,and research institutes to create a good entrepreneurial atmosphere;improve infrastructure and upgrade the level of incubators Policy advice.
