With the rapid development of social economy,domestic garment enterprises have made great progress in production equipment,process technology,product quality,service level,etc.But most enterprises still have not got rid of the production mode of extensive,high energy consumption,and low value-added,especially the garment enterprises in the western region,where the clothing enterprises increase the number and intensity of labor,extend the working hours to complete the production In order to improve the market competitiveness in the context of small batch production,garment enterprises need to reduce the cost,shorten the production cycle and improve the production efficiency while ensuring the quality.Besides,the Lean production theory,which is mostly used in manufacturing enterprises,should apply to garment manufacturing enterprises,but it is still in the primary stage of exploration.This paper takes the sewing workshop of S Company as the research object,carries on the thorough investigation and analysis on its production procedure flow,the layout,the spot management,the personnel management.Combining with actual situation and using the theory of lean production,the paper puts forward the lean improvement method for this workshop from five aspects.The thesis is divided into four parts.In the first part,the author puts forward questions,starting from the background,purpose and significance of the research,determines the research contents,research methods,and technical routes.This part also provides a theoretical foundation for the following articles by reading the relevant theories of lean production at home and abroad related production theory and application status.The second part analyzes the problems,commencing with the current situation of sewing workshop in S Company,analyzes the production layout,process flow,site management and personnel management of sewing workshop in detail,and determines the necessity and feasibility of lean improvement.The third part is to solve the problem,using lean production tools to optimize the overall layout of the workshop,balance the production line,and try out single-piece flow production,then puts forward 5S management and continuous improvement strategies.The fourth part makes a comparative analysis before and after Lean improvement,finds out the research results and shortcomings,and draws the conclusion.
