Research On The Impact Of Agricultural Technology Advancement On Farmers' Income In The Western Region

In recent years,the issues of “agriculture,countryside and farmers”have always been the focus of the party and the state.The "farmers" is the core of the issues of“agriculture,countryside and farmers”,and "farmers' income" is also the core of "farmers".Therefore,how to increase the income of farmers is an important issue in China's economic development at this stage.At present,to raise farmers' income,not only should we increase labor,chemical fertilizers,pesticides,arable land,and other manpower or material resources to increase agricultural output,but also should we promote agricultural technology progress,and rely on agricultural modernization to promote farmers to increase production.The development of the western region is slow.Although agriculture plays an important role in the economic development of the western region,the income of farmers is worrying,which is far below the national average.As we all know,the importance of agriculture in the western region is irreplaceable.Therefore,only when agriculture is developed,can farmers' income and living standards be improved,and then the leap-forward development of the western region can be realized.However,few people have studied the impact of agricultural technological advancement on the income of farmers in the western region.Therefore,based on the influence of other scholars on agricultural technological advancement and farmers' income,this article explores the influence and the mechanism of agricultural technological progress and the farmers' income in the western region.Combining with the empirical results,it proposes relevant countermeasures to improve the farmers' income in the western region.This article conducts relevant theoretical researches and literature researches on farmers' income,agricultural technological progress and the relationship between them.Then it introduces the status of agricultural technological advancement and farmers' income in the western region,and selects and screens indicators on the basis of other scholars' research,then,collects related date,and researches the influence of agricultural technological progress in western China on farmers' net income,operating income and wage income with mixed OLS,fixed effects model,random effects model and difference GMM.The empirical results show that the agricultural technologicalprogress in western china can promote farmers' income on the whole.(1)The effect of agricultural technological progress to farmers' net income is positive at 1% significant levels.(2)The effect to farmers' wage income is positive at 5% significant levels.(3)The effect to farmers' manage income is positive at 1% significant levels.Finally,basing on theoretical analysis and empirical results,this paper proposes countermeasures and suggestions for improving the income of farmers in the western region,and points out that the state and the government can take measures in the following five aspects to increase the agricultural productivity in the western region and achieve a sustained increase in the agricultural economy in the western region,and finally raise the income level of farmers in the western region.(1)Increase investment in agricultural science and technology and increase innovation in agricultural science and technology(2)Increase support and promotion in agricultural technological progress(3)Strengthen rural human capital investment(4)Increase fiscal expenditure,optimize fiscal expenditure structure,and improve fiscal expenditure Management system(5)Innovate the existing system and promote labor transfer.
