The Influence Mechanism Of Platform Organization Structure On Enterprise Innovation From The Perspective Of Dynamic Capabilities

The rapid development and extensive use of information technology in the Internet age has challenged the division of labor and operational logic of traditional companies.The organization structure established by the traditional theory of organizational division of labor has clearly failed to keep up with the development of the Internet,and even gradually become an obstacle to the growth of organizations and individuals in the information age.The Internet platform has a far-reaching impact on current and future economic development,and more and more companies are beginning to explore the transition to platform.Based on the fact that platform companies generate more innovative products,it is particularly important to explore the influence mechanism of platform organization structure on innovation.Through reviewing the existing research,we can find that there are the following shortcomings in answering this question:Firstly,the understanding of the difference between the organization structure of the platform and the traditional hierarchical organization structure and the relationship of the elements is not clear;secondly,the mechanism of the platform organization structure on enterprise innovation is unknown.This paper selects Haier as the case study,adopting the case study method,studing the influence mechanism of platform organization structure on enterprise innovation from the perspective of dynamic capabilities,and builds the relationship model of the influence mechanism of platform organization structure on enterprise innovation.Firstly,through reviewing and analyzing the existing literature,combing the organization structure and related research,dynamic capabilities and related research,and the relationship between organization structure and innovation,clarifying the theoretical gap of existing research,determining the research problems of this paper,analyzing and extracting main construct of this paper.Secondly,we obtained a wealth of information related to Haier through interviews,field research,network collection,and literature review,and analyzed the case data.Thirdly,the paper analyzes the relationship between the characteristics of the organization structure of Haier's platform organization and the innovation of enterprises in the typical case selected in this paper.Finally,combined with the combing and case data of the existing research,the research finds that the difference between the organization structure of the platform and the traditional hierarchical organization structure and the internal mechanism of the organization structure of the platform to the enterprise innovation,through the iterative theory and data to construct a theoretical model of the impact mechanism of platform organization structure on innovation.The case study results of this paper find that:(1)platform organization structure has different connotation characteristics compared with traditional hierarchical structure.(2)The platform organization structure can improve the dynamic capabilities of the activity subject and promote innovation.This paper introduces the dynamic capabilities theory into the relationship between platform organization structure and innovation,reveals the characteristics of platform organization structure elements and enriches the connotation of platform organization structure elements,and further explores the mechanism of platform organization structure on enterprise innovation to make up for the research deficiencies and increased the research perspective and theoretical explanation of the relationship between platform organization structure and innovation,which reflects the theoretical importance and practical necessity of the platform organization structure for the endogenous role of innovation,and provide timely ideas for the platformization of organization structure to maintain the company's sustainable competitive advantage for enterprises managers.
