It is clearly stated in the 12th Five-Year Plan that promoting national well-being has become the goal of China's current social development. As the head of the five great well-being industry, the tourism industry should umdertake the mission of enhancing the well-being of destination residents and tourists. Therefore, effectively promoting the well-being of destination residents while increasing the economy of the destination has become a common concern for the destination management organizations.Tourism well-being research is a new hot topic home and abroad. The feelings of destination residents on tourists will not only affect tourists' experience, but also affect the emotional well-being of destination residents. However, there are few studies on residents' well-being from the perspective of the relationship between the host and the guest. Therefore,it is of theoretical significance to explore how to enhance the emotional well-being of the destination residents based on the residents' emotional solidarity with tourists. At the same time,it also contributes to the sustainable development of the destination. On the basis of reviewing the related theories including emotional solidarity theory, residents, emotional well-being theories and residents, attitude theories and literature review of various variables, this paper constructs a theoretical model of emotional solidarity on residents, emotional well-being,and proposes relevant research hypotheses. This paper takes Jinan destination residents as the sample of empirical research, using the method of combining qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis. The data was collected by self-administred questionnaires, using SPSS 22.0 to carry out descriptive statistical analysis, reliability analysis and exploratory factor analysis, and using AMOS 17.0 to carry out confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis on the constructed conceptual model. The results show that:(1)Emotional solidarity has a significant positive impact on residents, attitude towards tourism. As a second-order factor structure, the path coefficient of emotional solidarity to residents'attitude towards tourism is 0.81.(2)Residents'attitude towards tourism has a significant positive impact on residents'emotional well-being.The path coefficient of residents'attitude towards tourism to residents'emotional well-being is 0.65.(3)Emotional solidarity influences residents'emotional well-being through residents'attitude towards tourism. In other words, residents' attitude towards tourism plays a mediating role between emotional solidarity and residents'emotional well-being.The standardized indirect effect value was 0.388,95%confidence interval was[0.259,0.561]and the interval does not contain 0.(4)The second-order factor structure of emotional solidarity consists of three dimensions including emotional closeness, sympathetic understanding and welcoming visitors. The path coefficients of the three dimensions are 0.71,0.77,and 0.89 respectively. The strongest impact is welcoming visitors, the weakest is emotional closeness.(5)The second-order factor structure of residents'emotional well-being consists of two dimensions including leisure well-being and cultural well-being.The path coefficients are 0.90 and 0.67 respectively. The effect of leisure well-being on residents' emotional well-being is greater than cultural well-being.Based on the above theoretical research and empirical analysis results, this study proposes suggestions and countermeasures to improve residents' emotional well-being and build a harmonious and sustainable tourism destination based on enhancing emotional solidarity and optimizing destination spaces. It helps some relevant administrations to to formulate effective strategies and measures for the destination.
