In recent years, the income level of rural residents in China has been greatly improved, but the small total and low proportion of property income of rural residents has led to the widening of the gap between urban and rural areas to a certain extent. As an important channel to increase property income of rural residents, financial management is of great significance to narrow the gap between urban and rural areas. At present, the per capita disposable income of rural residents in Lin'an is increasing rapidly.Studying the financial wishes and behaviors of rural residents in Lin'an can fundamentally understand their financial needs,so as to better optimize their financial behavior and improve the income of rural residents. This study combs and summarizes the domestic and foreign literature, defines the related concepts and theoretical basis of residents' financial management, and proceeds from the current situation of rural residents' financial management, using the survey data of 105 rural residents in four villages of Linan District, using Logistic model to carry out empirical test of the status quo.The results show that the four variables of education level, income level, understanding of financial management and the number of financial institutions in the vicinity of the rural residents' financial wishes are significant. The income level understanding of financial management and the number of financial institutions are three variables of rural residents' financial behavior. The results show that there are other factors in the process of transforming financial intention into specific financial behavior, but the income level, understanding of financial management and the number of financial institutions are are both significant in the influence of willingness and behavior.Based on the analysis of the above-mentioned situation and the results of empirical test, some suggestions are put forward to optimize the financial management behavior of rural residents, including strengthen self-study,raising financial awareness, enriching sources of income, increasing financial management outlets, utilizing life cycle theory, designing products suitable for rural residents, etc.
