Promoting the integrated development of urban and rural areas and establishing a long-term mechanism for the coordinated development of urban and rural areas are not only an effective way to break down the shortcomings of rural development and rebuild the relationship between urban and rural areas, but also an important strategic measure to ensure the completion of a well-off society in an all-round way as scheduled.Based on the theory of urban-rural integration, this paper takes 106 counties of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration as research units, chooses four time nodes of 2004,2008,2012 and 2016,uses mathematical statistics method to analyze the dynamic evolution process of urban-rural integration level of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration, and introduces spatial autocorrelation and geostatistical analysis method to describe the spatial distribution pattern and spatial differentiation characteristics.According to the results of the portrayal, the paper puts forward policy recommendations for the high, medium and low level areas of urban-rural integration,in order to provide a way to improve the level of urban-rural integration of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)From 2004 to 2016,the overall level of urban-rural integration in Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration showed an upward trend. The average level of urban-rural integration in 106 counties increased from 0.2767 to 0.2856.Among them, the degree of urban-rural development and the degree of Urban-Rural Coordination showed an upward trend(the index value increased from 0.1403 to 0.1458,0.0217 to 0.0299 respectively),while the degree of rural development showed a downward trend(the index value decreased from 0.1147 to 0.1099).(2)The level of urban-rural integration of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration has a positive spatial correlation, but the degree of spatial agglomeration has gradually weakened. The characteristics of spatial agglomeration are obvious, mainly high-high agglomeration and low-low agglomeration.High-high agglomeration areas include Chengdu Plain and Chongqing Metropolitan Area.Low-low agglomeration areas are widely distributed in Nanchong-Suining-Guang'an urban agglomeration area, southern Sichuan urban agglomeration area and Dazhou City.Chengdu and Deyang are the hot spots of urban-rural integration. The cold spots are mainly distributed in Nanchong and Mianyang in northern Sichuan,Ziyang in central Sichuan,Leshan and Yibin in southern Sichuan. The number of these two regions is small, showing fluctuating downward trend and fluctuating upward trend respectively.(3)Chengdu Plain and Chongqing Metropolitan Area are the high-level areas of urban-rural integration of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration.Radiation-driven by Chengdu and Chongqing two core cities is the direct driving force for the development of this level area. However, due to the mountain and hilly terrain, the level of urban-rural integration in Chongqing Metropolitan Area is significantly lower than that in Chengdu Plain.Medium-level areas of urban-rural integration mainly distribute in urban agglomeration areas in southern Sichuan and ecological conservation areas in northeastern Chongqing.Industry and transportation are the main reliance for the development of this level area.Dazhou and Nanchong in the north of Sichuan and Leshan in the southwest of Sichuan are low-level areas of urban-rural integration. The transitional topography of mountain and hilly areas and the geographical location of administrative boundary are the main limiting factors for the development of this level area.Suining and Ziyang in the central part of the study area benefited from the development strategy of shifting the focus of Chengdu's development to the East and Chongqing's development to the west, and rose rapidly during the study period.(4)Based on the above conclusions, the high-level areas of urban-rural integration can take measures such as building the "economic barrier" of land, improving the way of land transfer, rationally planning and laying out urban infrastructure, perfecting relevant laws and regulations of environmental protection, and strengthening the research of environmental renovation technology. The medium-level areas of urban-rural integration can take active measures to promote agricultural industrialization and specialization, industrial parks and residential communities. The low-level areas of urban-rural integration can take measures such as strengthening labor training, actively cultivating local superior industries, and strengthening regional infrastructure planning and construction.
