Located in the center of Daisy,Dali is a crucial part of the Southern Silk Road and the Ancient Tea Horse Road.Under the current "Belt and Road" national strategy,it is beneficial for Dali to seize the opportunity and further explore the historical and cultural connotations of the Southern Silk Road and the Ancient Tea Horse Road.In the late Qing Dynasty,economic activities in Dali were in a transitional era of coexistence between old and new,and frequent economic and trade exchanges with neighboring regions,provinces and countries.During this special period,changes have taken place in the internal and external environment.For economic activities,there are both the characteristics of universal economic development and the unique economic development of ethnic areas.This article is divided into six chapters,as follows:The first chapter mainly expounds the background,significance,time period,geographical scope,related research summary,main content,ideas,methods and innovations of the research.The second chapter mainly describes the general situation of the governance system in Dali area in the late Qing Dynasty.The situation is summarized from three aspects: administrative governance,cultural education,and military management.In administrative governance,it describes governing in the late Qing Dynasty and maintenance of Baojia;the changes from traditional old-style education to new-style education in the Dali area in the late Qing Dynasty under cultural education;military management mainly explained the green camp soldiers' agriculture,industry and commerce in Yunnan.Positive effects were produced.The third chapter mainly describes the input of economic activities.In terms of natural resources,the area of cultivated land has basically been stabilized,the variety of food crops has increased significantly,the area planted with economic crops has been expanding,and mineral resources were abundant.In terms of labor resources,the population experienced a historical process of sharply reducing and then slowly recovering;the population is mainly distributed in Dali,especially in more developed areas;the agricultural population has an absolute proportion.In terms of capital resources,the types of currency in the market are diversified,and the price of silver money fluctuates greatly;old financial institutions continue to develop;the involvement of private capital continues to expand.In terms of technical resources,it is only theinheritance and partial improvements of the original production technology.The fourth chapter describes the output of economic activities.In agriculture,grain yield and total output of grain are basically stable,the legalization of the opium policy and the high-yield drive have boosted the output of opium cultivation.In the handicraft industry,while the exploitation of traditional minerals is declining,on the other side,the exploitation of the Shisuou mine and the Qiaohejing salt mine has arisen;the variety of textile industry has increased,and the quality and output of the products have been greatly improved;the value and income is huge.The fifth chapter mainly describes consumption and finance.In terms of household consumption,family prices must rise rapidly,and consumption costs increase significantly;household education costs are high;opium consumption is widespread,and consumer groups are mostly poor people.In terms of fiscal revenue,income of traditional Tianfu has been declining;the amount of commercial miscellaneous taxation has been reduced,and the number of levies has increased substantially;income of salt class has increased in the fiscal revenue;levy has begun to be collected and is in fiscal revenue.It has a certain proportion;in terms of fiscal expenditure,in addition to traditional administrative expenses and salt industry funds,there are also expenditures for new projects such as patrol,education,and industry.The sixth chapter discusses trade.The urban and rural market system has gradually formed,showing the increase in the number of markets,the wide distribution,the shortening of the street period,and the expansion of the city scale;increase in the types of traded goods and the more open trade flows;the scale of local business operations and the scope of activities are expanding,and the operating industry is increasing.The last part is a summarize the economic activities of the Dali area in the late Qing Dynasty and find some inspirations for the economic development of today's Dali Prefecture.There are still many shortcomings in the research.It is necessary for experts and scholars in various fields to further explore according to the actual situation and provide services for the better development of the economy in Dali.
