Nowadays,with a new round of industrial revolution booming,global industries are changing towards intelligence,informatization and networking.The arrival of a new era makes enterprises more and more aware of the importance of innovation.As the second largest economy after the United States,China's internal economic structure adjustment is related to whether the national economy can maintain and catch up with the former.The party's 19 th congress report pointed out that innovation is the first driving force leading development and the strategic support for building a modern economic system.Scientific and technological innovation is the main source of enterprise economic vitality,especially for scientific and technological enterprises,but also a vital core factor for enterprise survival.The level of scientific and technological development is one of the main indicators to measure the overall strength of a country and a region,and R&D investment is an important influencing factor to improve the level of scientific and technological development and innovation.It is the cornerstone for scientific and technological enterprises to have innovation capability and is also the core to enhance the scientific and technological technology and technological advantages of scientific and technological enterprises.Therefore,studying the impact of R&D investment on innovation is conducive to the formulation of R&D investment development strategies according to local conditions in various regions,improving the performance of regional technological innovation and thus improving the level of regional scientific and technological development,and realizing the sustainable and coordinated development of various regions in China.Based on the above background,this paper takes Chongqing science and technology enterprises as the research object,and analyzes the influence of R&D investment on technological innovation of Chongqing science and technology enterprises.Through understanding the literature review and background informationat home and abroad,this paper first summarizes the related concepts and theories of R&D,technological innovation and technological enterprises.Secondly,it makes a concrete analysis of the current development situation of Chongqing's science and technology enterprises,analyzes the overall development scale,technical field distribution,regional distribution,industrial distribution,technological innovation input and output of Chongqing's science and technology enterprises,and summarizes the existing problems in the development of Chongqing's science and technology enterprises.Finally,taking Chongqing's scientific and technological enterprises as the research object,the data of 956 scientific and technological enterprises from 2016 to2018 in Chongqing's scientific and technological enterprise management system are selected as samples.The mixed cross-section regression is adopted for the overall sample,and then regional(main urban and non-main urban)factors are included.The R&D input and technological innovation are studied by using STATA14.0 software,and the influence of R&D input on the output index of technological innovation of scientific and technological enterprises,i.e.the sales income of new products and the number of patents authorized is analyzed respectively.The overall cross-sectional regression results show that the core explanatory variables R&D investment and R&D personnel investment have a boosting effect on the sales revenue of new products,but the output elasticity of R&D personnel investment on the sales revenue of new products is not as strong as R&D investment.The investment of R&D personnel has a significant impact on the number of patents granted for technological innovation indicators,which plays a positive role,indicating that R&D personnel have a significant impact on knowledge innovation and knowledge value creation.The general panel regression results show that: in the more developed main urban areas,the core explanatory variables R&D funding and R&D personnel investment play a boosting role in the sales revenue of new products and the number of patents granted as indicators of technological innovation;In the relatively backward non-main urban areas,R&D personnel investment plays a boosting role in the sales revenue of new products and the number of patent licenses,which are indicators of technological innovation.At the end of the year,the employees of enterprises have a weak negative effect on the number of patent licenses.The R&D funding investment has not passed the significance test,which indicates that the non-main urban areas need to improve the utilization rate of R&D funding,optimize the personnel structure and introduce high-end talents.According to the above research results,this paper summarizes the analysis of Chongqing's science and technology enterprises and puts forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions.
