In recent years, influenced by the service economy and the IT information revolution, the world service trade develops rapidly. As an important part of the service industry producer services, throughout the entire production process of manufacturing, the producer service owned high-tech and high value-added can effectively improve the production efficiency of the manufacturing and make full use of resources. It accelerated the integration of secondary and tertiary industries to a certain extent. The constant merge between them also makes manufacturing industry servicing become a apparent trend. On the other hand, both in terms of total output and scale,Chinese manufacturing industry has become one of the world's leading manufacturers and it has also become a global manufacturing power.Whereas, the extensive growth mode and low valve-added profit model,Chinese overall manufacturing industry shows the characteristics of "big but not strong" and "comprehensive but not professional".Dependence on orders and technology from developed countries and lack of core competence have led to the low-end of the global value chain for local manufacturing.Compared with the developed countries in the world,China still lags far behind in independent innovation ability, productivity level and management mode. Therefore, based on the empirical fact of the close relationship between producer services and manufacture, the paper attempts to explore whether the Import complexity of productive trade in services is conducive to breaking through the "low end" of the value chain and providing suggestions for the upgrading and transformation of China's manufacturing industry. In the theoretical part of the paper,we analysis how import complexity of productive service trade affects the position of the Chinese manufacturing value chain from the following ways: production effect, specialization effect, technology spillover effect, export competition effect, industry centralization effect.Based on the theoretical analysis, this paper integrates import service-oriented is calculated using the input?output table,as a measure of import complexity of productive service trade, and exporting complexity is used to measure the position of Chinese manufacturing value chain. This paper also selected three other indicators, such as human capital,R&D intensity, economic freedom and capital intensity.Using all this data we empirically analyze the relationship between complexity of productive service trade and the Chinese manufacturing value chain upgrading. And the impact of different types of productive services on manufacturing industry and the existence of industry heterogeneity are studied and analyzed. The empirical results of this paper show that the import complexity of productive service trade has had a negative impact on the "low?end locked" of the manufacturing value?breaking chain, and this impact has existed stable. The industry heterogeneity existences. There are differences in the impact of the import complexity of productive service trade on manufacturing upgrading, and there are also industrial heterogenetic. Finally, combining the conclusion of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,we put forward the following policies: increasing the development of trade in services and lowering trade barriers;optimize the input structure of the import trade of productive services and rationally allocate the factor of import productive service;improve human resource endowment, strengthen service competition advantage.
