The Influence Of Productive Service Trade Import Complexity On The International Competitiveness Of The Manufacturing Sector

In recent years, with the development of globalization and the adjustment of trade patterns, the world service trade develop rapidly, and gradually become the main driver of national economic growth. As an important part of the service industry, producer services throughout the entire production process of manufacturing, they include human capitak technological capital and knowledge capital, they are all brought into the manufacturing. It accelerated the integration of secondary and tertiary industries to some extent. The constant merge between them also makes manufacturing industry servicing become a apparent trend, it plays an important role to improve the manufacturing efficiency and enhance the competitiveness, and it gradually become the main driving force to push the global industrial upgrading. Based on the empirical fact of the close relationship between producer services and manufacture, the paper attempts to study how import complexity of productive service trade affect international competitiveness of manufacturing,hope to optimize the structure of producer services to improve the manufacturing competitiveness. So it has great theoretical and practical significance.In the theoretical part of the paper, we analysis how import complexity of productive service trade affect international competitiveness of manufacturing from the following ways:production effects technology spillover effects export competition effects industry cluster effectn elements restructuring effect and so on. The empirical analysis based on cross-country panel data of 28 countries found that:compared with the manufacturing sector as a whole, productive service trade import complexity plays a greater role in promoting the international competitiveness of technology-intensive manufacturing sector; high-tech service trade import complexity is more significant to technology-intensive manufacturing in services classification study; the influence of different productive service trade import complexity on different types of countries is significantly different.Finally, according the conclusions of theory and empirical analysis, we put forward the following policy suggestion:continue to optimize the import structure of producer services; breaking the restrictions on market access and reduce the barriers of services trade; strengthening the development level of our manufacturing.
