Analysis On The Measurement Of International Competitiveness Of Manufacturing Industry In Guangdong Province And Its Influencing Factors

Since the reform and opening up 40 years ago,Guangdong's manufacturing industry has developed rapidly and has become one of the most developed regions in China's manufacturing industry.It is of great significance to leading China's economic development.However,in recent years,due to the unfavorable factors restricting the development of Guangdong's manufacturing industry,the international competitiveness of Guangdong's manufacturing industry has declined.Therefore,under the conditions of analyzing the factors affecting the international competitiveness of Guangdong's manufacturing industry,this paper understands the advantages and constraints of Guangdong's manufacturing industry development,and provides scientific and reasonable suggestions for improving the international competitiveness of Guangdong's manufacturing industry.I hope that it will also help other regions to improve the international competitiveness of manufacturing.This paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the development of manufacturing industry in Guangdong Province.From the analysis of development scale,development level and economic benefit,it is found that the absolute amount of major economic indicators in Guangdong Province continues to rise,but the proportion of the country has declined,the relative indicators of economic benefits have declined,and the “smile curve” is in the level of industrial development.In the middle and lower reaches,the added value of products is low;from the analysis of industry structure and industrial agglomeration,it is found that the internal structure of Guangdong's manufacturing industry is more optimized,the proportion of technology-intensive industries is increasing,and the concentration of manufacturing industry is slightly reduced;Analysis of productivity and technological innovation found that the labor productivity in Guangdong Province has increased significantly,and the level of technological innovation has increased year by year.For the analysis of the international competitiveness of the manufacturing industry,the single indicator selects the indicators of the comparative advantage index,the proportion of industrial exports,and the international market share.The results show that the display comparative advantage index,the proportion of industrial exports,and the international market share in recent years.There has been a decline,in which the comparative advantage of display and the proportion of industrial exports are in the middle level in the comparison of Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Shandong;the comprehensive evaluation index is analyzed by Malmquist index and principal component comprehensive analysis index,and the results show that Guangdong Province 2016 The annual Malmquist index declined slightly from 2007,and the scores of the main components of most industries declined.In the empirical analysis,based on the Porter competitiveness model,the factors such as industrial agglomeration,enterprise competition,labor productivity,government regulation,capital deepening,and industrial manufacturing cost are analyzed,and then used in Guangdong Province 20 panel data of manufacturing industry were analyzed by regression from 2007 to 2016..The results show that: First,from the perspective of manufacturing industry as a whole,industrial agglomeration,government regulation,and manufacturing costs have a positive effect on the international competitiveness of manufacturing industry,while the competition in the same industry and the degree of capital deepening on the international competitiveness of manufacturing industry Have a negative impact.Secondly,from the perspective of industrial classification,the role of industrial agglomeration in promoting the international competitiveness of manufacturing industry has industry heterogeneity.Industrial agglomeration has the greatest promotion effect on capital-intensive industries,and the promotion of labor-intensive industries is second.The impact on technology-intensive industries is minimal;the impact of labor productivity on the international competitiveness of manufacturing is not significant in the overall manufacturing industry,but it is a significant positive promotion in technology-intensive industries;the degree of capital deepening in the overall manufacturing industry The performance is a significant negative impact,showing a negative impact in capital-intensive industries.Thirdly,using the threshold model to further study,it is found that only the influence of industrial agglomeration on the international competitiveness of manufacturing industry has a threshold effect.The influence of industrial agglomeration on different aspects of international competitiveness is different.
