Urban space is an important carrier of population and economic and social development.As an important material foundation,urban construction land has profoundly affected China's development.With the progress of economy and society,the process of urbanization in China has shown a rapid development trend,mainly reflected in the non-agriculturalization of agricultural population and the expansion of urban construction land.Influenced by various factors such as geographical conditions,the majority of population is concentrated in the eastern coastal areas,and the imbalance of regional population distribution leads to the increasingly prominent contradiction between people and land in the eastern region.Based on the present situation of domestic urban development,to strengthen the advanced utilization of urban construction land is not only an inevitable choice for the future development of the city,but also the only way to ensure the sustainable development of land resources.By studying the spatial and temporal differences of urban development and the intensive use of urban construction land in different periods,we can grasp the shortcomings of regional urban spatial development trends and construction land use,which contain both theoretical and realistic significance for formulating intensive use measures for regional construction land and alleviating human-land conflicts.Based on the spatial expansion and socio-economic development of the Jing-Jin-Ji region,to analyzing the urban land use in past 15 years from the aspects of land use intensity,land input intensity,land use efficiency and ecological sustainability.Firstly,exploring the urban expansion in research area since 2000 through the expansion intensity index,urban expansion difference index and contribution rate of construction land expansion,and then analyzing the intensive degree of urban construction land in the area.Through the first two steps,the urban space expansion law and the problems of construction land use of Jing-Jin-Ji area are clarified,and finally corresponding improvement measures can be proposed.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)During the study period,the urban construction land in the Jing-Jin-Ji region increased by 1.55 ×103km2,among which the growth rate was the fastest during 2000-2005,and the urban spatial expansion hotspots in the region gradually shifted from the Beijing-Tianjin region to the Hebei region during the study period.The annual difference of land use was observed obviously;(2)Since 2000,the intensive utilization level of urban construction land in Jing-Jin-Ji region has declined with fluctuation.Among the three regions,the intensive utilization level of urban construction land in Beijing has been stable,and it has been on the rise in Tianjin during the research period.While in Hebei province,with the rapid development of urbanization and irrational land use,the intensive utilization level of urban construction land decreased continuously.(3)In the course of Integration of Jing-Jin-Ji region,the urban growth model can be improved and urban space be optimized by promoting the intensive use of urban land,by which finally smart growth of urban space can be achieved.
