Study On The Efficiency Of Regional Chinese Herbal Medicine Industry In Gansu Province

With the development of the economy and the improvement of living standards,the health concept of the international community has undergone profound changes.The medical model of human beings is gradually changing from therapeutic to preventive.The mainstream medical exhibitions in the West show increasingly obvious negative effects.The application of cheap natural medicines in the world is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people,thus providing an opportunity for the modernization of the Chinese herbal medicine industry.Gansu Province has unique topography and climatic conditions.There are many kinds of Chinese medicinal materials and rich in resources.After years of development,Gansu Province has formed a subtropical warm temperate cultivation area in Longnan,a temperate desert arid cultivation area in Hexi Corridor,a temperate zone in Central and Eastern Gansu,Alpine and humid cultivation area in the eastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.The processing scale of Chinese herbal medicines has continued to grow,the warehousing and logistics system has become more and more perfect,and the distribution market has gradually formed.TheChinese herbal medicine industry is a market-oriented and profit-seeking industry.Therefore,the input-output problem will inevitably exist in the management practice of the Chinese herbal medicine industry,which is the efficiency problem.On this basis,the research on the efficiency of Chinese herbal medicine industry in Gansu Province can objectively reflect the utilization of resources,which is of great significance for improving the resource allocation and scientific development of the Chinese herbal medicine industry in Gansu Province.The article uses the relevant data of the Chinese herbal medicine industry in Gansu Province in 2016,and uses the three-stage DEA efficiency evaluation model to remove the interference of random variables and environmental factors,have an empirical study on the industrial efficiency of Chinese herbal medicines in 13 cities of Gansu Province(the planting area and yield of Chinese herbal medicines in Jiayuguan City have been eliminated).And the efficiency of Chinese herbal medicine industry in each city and state has been compared and analyzed.The research results show that the overall efficiency of Chinese herbal medicine industry in GansuProvince is low,and the input and output efficiency levels of Chinese herbal medicine industry in different cities are quite different.The low scale efficiency is the key factor leading to the overall inefficiency of Chinese herbal medicine industry in Gansu Province.After removing the interference of random variables and external environmental factors,the random variables and external environmental factors were found to have a greater impact on the efficiency level of Chinese herbal medicine industry in Gansu Province;and most cities are in the stage of increasing returns to scale.At the same time,with the average value of pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency as the critical value,the efficiency of Chinese herbal medicine industry in each city is divided into four types,in order to more effectively improve the efficiency of each city.
