The Study On The Relations Among Entrepreneurs' Alumni Network,Resource Integration And Innovation Performance Of Start-ups

Nowdays,China is a country in economic transformation,and needs to cultivate a large number of innovative talents.General Secretary Xi emphasized that "the vitality of national innovation comes from young innovative talents".In order to cultivate young talents,the state has issued various policies to encourage young talents to innovate and start businesses.Recently,the number of new ventures in China has increased significantly.However,compared with mature enterprises,the strength of new ventures is much weaker.Because of its short establishment time,inadequate resources and complex external environment,there is uncertainty in the growth of new ventures.They can not rely on themselves to survive in complex external environment,and their survival and growth are challenged severely.For new ventures,their establishment time is relatively short,and financial performance can not accurately measure the competitive advantage,innovation has become a key factor affecting the survival and development of enterprises.Innovation is the aggregation of resources.However,on the one hand,most new ventures are limited by their own resources and can not carry out innovative activities smoothly.On the one hand,they are facing unstable market environment,and they can not obtain competitive advantage only by owning resources.Restricted by the limitations of their own resources,enterprises can not effectively access and integrate all the innovative resources needed for growth.Only by communicating with other enterprises or organizations closely,can they make up for the deficiencies.So as to improve the innovative ability of enterprises,It is useful to increase the access to external resources and integrate them effectively by social network.Notably,since the structure of new ventures is relatively single,and entrepreneurs are not only owners,operators,but also alumni,the establishment of links between entrepreneurs and alumni of different social identities can bring rich resources.The alumni network of entrepreneurs includes not only emotional support,but also business relations.The network is of high quality and large scale,and it is a subdivision form of social network.Therefore,in order to study the impact of entrepreneurs'alumni network on enterprise innovation performance,this paper takes the alumni network of entrepreneurs as the starting point and takes resource integration as the intermediary variable.It provides theoretical and practical significance for improving enterprise innovation performanceFirstly,on the basis of summarizing and analyzing the previous literatures,this paper clarifies the relevant theories of social network and resource integration,constructs the theoretical model of entrepreneur alumni network,resource integration and innovation performance of new ventures,and puts forward relevant hypotheses.Secondly,according to the purpose of the study and the object of study,the paper makes appropriate modifications and adjustments to the scale.In order to ensure the reliability and validity of the questionnaire,a small-scale pre-survey was conducted in advance.This paper revises and adjusts the contents of the questionnaire according to the results of the survey.Finally,the formal questionnaire of this study was formed.In this paper,we mainly select the new ventures in Bozhou and Tianjin as the subjects of the survey.Also,We collect data through the form of questionnaires.A total of 274 questionnaires were distributed,and 202 valid questionnaires were obtained after eliminating the invalid questionnaires.After collecting data,the data are analyzed and processed by SPSS20.0 software,and the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The alumni network of entrepreneurs has a positive impact on the innovation performance of new ventures.Among them,the scale and intensity of alumni network have a positive impact on innovation performance;(2)the alumni network of entrepreneurs has a positive impact on resource integration.Among them,entrepreneur alumni network plays a positive role in resource construction and utilization;(3)resource integration has a positive impact on innovation performance of new ventures.Among them,resource construction and resource utilization have positive effects on innovation performance;(4)Resouce integration plays a mediating role in the impact of entrepreneur alumni network on innovation performance of new ventures.According to the results of empirical analysis,this paper provides corresponding suggestions on how to improve innovation performance.So as to make up for the shortage of new ventures' own resources,enhance the strength and efficiency of enterprises,and Competitive advantage,and promote the Innovation Performance of Enterprises,it suggests that entrepreneurs should strengthen exchanges and cooperation with alumni,pay attention to the construction of effective alumni network,strengthen the identification and acquisition of external resources,and effectively integrate and utilize internal and external resources.
