Nowadays, services trade has developed rapidly in the world and has become a new engine for stimulating world trade growth. In order to improve their own international competitiveness, countries actively develop services trade, they increase the scale and the influence of services trade. The intricate trade relations between countries form a trade network. This paper uses the topology-based social network analysis(SNA)to analyze the characteristics of China’s location evolution in the global services trade network and its influencing factors, which helps to correctly understand the gap between China and other countries in the global services trade. It also provides a clear direction for China’s services trade development in the future.Based on the World Bank’s services trade database, this paper firstly builds a global services trade network model from 180 countries in 2005,2008 and 2011 at 3 years intervals.Secondly, based on the indicators, such as density, average degree, diameter, and clustering coefficient, the global services trade network structure is analyzed. On this basis, this paper analyzes the position changes of Chinese subgroups in the network, and summarizes the evolutionary characteristics of China in the network from the three aspects of centrality, influence and intensity. Finally,by learning the analysis of the factors affecting the services trade from the predecessors, this paper selects the per capita GDP,the geographical distance between countries, whether the two countries are land adjacent, whether the two countries are both WTO members, and whether the two countries have a regional services trade agreement, whether the two countries use the common official language as independent variables;,and selects the trade relations and trade volume between countries as the dependent variables, constructing a QAP regression model of global services trade unweighted and weighted networks to study the factors that influence the location of countries in the global services trade network.Through research, the paper draws the following conclusions:First, while the scale of global services trade is rapidly climbing, global services trade relations continue to decrease. Moreover, the global services trade development is uneven, and the global services trade network is a divergence centered on European countries, and it is too dependent on the core countries.Second,China’s services trade network is stable and nearly complete, but China’s cohesive subgroup has gradually shifted from its core position to a semi-core position under the influence of the financial crisis.Third,China’s services trade flows are large but trade relations are insufficient.Fourth,inter-country services trade relations and trade volume selection are negatively correlated with the geographical distance between countries, and are significantly positively correlated with land adjacent, same as WTO members, and regional services trade agreements.Based on the conclusions above, this paper proposes relevant suggestions to improve Chinese international influence in the global services trade network.
