Under the background of economic globalization, regional economic integration has become the trend of the evolution of regional spatial structure in the world.Achieving economic integration can not only reduce the obstacles to regional economic exchanges, but also promote the rational distribution of industries, and ultimately achieve the coordinated development of all regions. At present, the spatial pattern of China's economic activities is gradually changing from individual decentralization to integration. As one of the most developed and innovative regions in China and even in the world economy, the level of economic integration of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will have an important impact on the realization of coordinated development within the country. Therefore, for our country,it is one of the main problems to find a breakthrough to promote the high level of economic integration Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This paper aims to analyze the current situation of economic integration in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and find out the factors that hinder its development of economic integration, and calculate the boundary effect between cities with different systems in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and its influence on regional economic integration.Firstly, the integration status of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is studied from three aspects: market, industry and transportation.Among them, when studying the level of market integration,we use the relative price method to measure the degree of market integration in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The results show that the level of market integration has been improving continuously from 2002 to 2016.However,for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, market integration has not yet been fully realized, and obstacles affecting the free flow of factors still need to be further eliminated. When analyzing the development of industrial integration,by calculating the similarity coefficient of industrial structure, the results show that the industrial structure of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area region is highly convergent, especially in the nine cities of the Pearl River Delta, the convergence phenomenon is more serious. The possible reason is that the nine cities are in the similar stage of economic development, and the adjustment direction of industrial structure is roughly the same, while the Pearl River Delta and Hong kong are in the same direction. There is also a certain degree of convergence in industrial structure between Hong Kong and Macao, because in recent years, the Pearl River Delta region has begun to transfer manufacturing industry from Hong Kong and Macao, and regard modern service industry as the focus of future development, which is the same as the direction of industrial restructuring in Hong Kong andMacao;therefore, the convergence of industrial structure in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area not only hinders the region. The integration of regional industries also has a negative impact on the realization of economic integration. After sorting out the traffic types and quantities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,it is found that by 2017,20 railways,38 expressways,8 airports,16 ports,26 large bridges and 16 urban rail transit have been operated or under construction in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This shows that the overall traffic network of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has basically formed, and the phenomenon of "segmentation" in the past traffic network has gradually become a phenomenon. The breakdown has promoted the free flow of factor endowments among different regions.Secondly, taking 55 pairs of cities in 11 cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as samples, this paper chooses the growth rate of per capita GDP as the explanatory variable, and the ratio, system and distance of per capita GDP of each pair of cities in T period as explanatory variable. The cross-sectional data of 11 cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from 2000 to 2016 are used to carry out successively. The results of structural change test and regionalization and time-division regression show that: firstly, there exists boundary effect among different institutional cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the existence of boundary effect hinders the development of regional economic integration.Further analysis of subregional and time-division reveals that Hong Kong has a boundary effect between different institutional cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The boundary effect between cities in the Pearl River Delta is greater than that between Macao and Pearl River Delta, and the boundary effect in this period from 2011 to 2016 has been reduced compared with the previous two stages.Secondly,Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has its own merits in terms of both the whole and the scope of Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta or Macao and the Pearl River Delta. The trend of economic integration, and the trend of economic integration is gradually increasing.Thirdly, the impact of distance on economic integration of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has not been obvious from the empirical results of sub-regions or stages.Because of the improvement of transportation network, the impact of distance on economic integration will be further reduced after the completion and opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and other transportation trunk lines.
