Perceived Organizational Support refers to an employee’s views on the welfare and contribution of an organization,which could positively affect the employee’s work attitude,work behavior and work performance.Complying with Perceived Organizational Support Theory and reasonably applying it to enterprises and the management system of enterprises could make it possible to stimulate employees’ motivation,facilitating a sound development of both employees and enterprises.This study reviews the development of Perceived Organizational Support Theory and sums up the existing research contents &approaches of Perceived Organizational Support by literature research method.Taking J Companyas the research object,this paper adopts the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support that is in conformity to local characteristics and has been repeatedly proved effective as a research tool including these three dimensions as work support,value identification and interest concern.Based on interviews and pre-survey questionnaires,some options were revised to finally shape what was the formal questionnaire of this study.A total of 265 questionnaires were handed out by the questionnaire survey method,of which 232 valid questionnaires were finally taken back.In this study,the statistical software SPSS 24.0 was used to analyze sample data collected from questionnaires.Besides,this paper investigates a few concrete performances and existing problems of perceived organizational support in the three dimensions from different demographic characteristics,further pinpoints relevant reasons andeventually proposesa couple of countermeasures.Specifically,according to data analysis and research,a conclusion is drawn as follows: J Company’s overall perceived organizational support is on the average level,indicating that staffs in J Company hold a poor overall perception of organizational support,and in this case,the managers should take various measures to enhance employees’ perceived organizational support so as to improve employees’ work enthusiasm and loyalty to J Company;In the above-mentioned three dimensions,it is learnt that total work support scores are relatively higher,interest concern comes the second,and the total value identification scores show the lowest.This proves that While J Company’s employees perceive relatively more work support and less interest concern from the company,they believe that their value and ability recognition are relatively lower.In addition,perceived organizational supports and all thedimensions vary greatly among employees of different gender,age,working years,educational background,position,marital status and whether is the only child.On the basis of research result,this study makes an in-depth exploration of measures to improve the perceived organizational supports of female employees,technical employees,poorly educated employees and young employees,and put forward the prospects and limitations of the survey.
