Research On The Impact Of China's OFDI Reverse Technology Spillover To Independent Innovation

China's outward foreign direct investment has achieved rapid development through half a century of practical exploration.Since 2010,China's outward foreign direct investment has maintained steady and rapid growth in the context of the world and China.In 2016,the amount of outward foreign direct investment of Chinese enterprises was 183.2 billion US dollars,ranking second in the world,achieving rapid growth for 14 consecutive years.At present,global competition is becoming more and more fierce.In order to gain an active position in the competition,China must promote innovation and enhance the ability of independent innovation to achieve sustainable economic development in China.Therefore,this paper mainly focuses on the impact of China's outward foreign direct investment reverse technology spillover on China's independent innovation capability.It starts with the following questions: What paths and mechanisms of OFDI reverse technology spillover affect independent innovation? Can technology-seeking outward foreign direct investment absorb the advanced technology of the host country to improve the independent innovation capability of the home country? If there is a reverse technology overflow,are there any spatial spillover effects of these reverse technology overflows? This paper focuses on these issues and studies the impact of foreign direct investment on the independent innovation capability of the home country.This paper analyzes the panel data of China's 29 provinces from 2003 to 2016 and selects 11 developed countries and areas with large proportion of foreign direct investment to analyze the impact of China's outward foreign direct investment reverse technology spillover on China's technological innovation.Firstly,it sorts out the theoretical development of China's outward foreign direct investment's reverse technology spillover,and summarizes the choice of the path of reverse technology spillovers on China's technological innovation.It also analyzes the current situation of China's foreign direct investment,in order to study the reverse technology spillover.The issue of the impact of China's independent innovation has established a theoretical basis and an analytical framework.Finally,empirical analysis is used to demonstrate the hypothesis based on the theoretical part.It mainly analyzes through two aspects.On the one hand,it adds spatial effects,and uses tow different spatial matrices to analyze the impact of reverse technology spillover on the overall innovation of independent innovation.Based on the SDM model to analyze the independent variables of neighboring provinces and the influence of dependent variables in neighboring provinces on independent innovation,this paper analyzes the impact of reverse technology spillovers on independent innovation,and further understands which independent innovations are affected.The influence of spatial factors.Through theoretical and empirical analysis,we can see that there is a clear spatial spillover effect between the technological innovation capabilities of various regions in China.The innovation efficiency of a region is not only affected by its own factors,but also similar to geographical proximity or economic development level.Related to technological innovation.In the analysis of the first spillover and the secondary spillover,it can be seen that the national OFDI reverse technology spillover has not promoted the innovation ability of other regions,but it has promoted the technological progress of the region.To sum up,in the context of China's promotion of self-innovation and the construction of innovative countries as a major measure to implement the scientific development concept,how to achieve sustained economic growth,rational industrial upgrading,and research on China's independent innovation capability is crucial.As the second largest economy,China's technology still has obvious gaps with advanced countries.It is extremely urgent to further improve the ability of independent innovation and enhance its core competitiveness.From this point of view,how to effectively use the impact of foreign direct investment reverse technology spillover on China's independent innovation capability is of great practical significance for China to effectively use foreign direct investment to establish a technologically strong country.
