Estimation And Cultivation Of Professional Farmers' Demand In Zhejiang Province

The cultivation of professional farmers is the requirement of modern agricultural development and the realistic choice to solve the problem of "who will grow land" in the future.It is of great strategic significance to cultivate professional farmers vigorously.In this paper,the quantity demand and cultivation optimization of professional farmers were studied,which is helpful to explore the law of cultivation of professional farmers.Firstly,on the basis of defining the concept of professional farmers and combing the relevant theories,this paper took the crop farming in Zhejiang Province as the starting point,according to the total area of the main crop farming in the past five years,the average income per mu,the land transferred and other related factors,etc,Based on the assumption of income that is equal to urban residents,average area achieved their income and land area transferred,five hundred and thirdty thousand professional farmers will be needed in crop farming by 2020 in Zhejiang province.All potential sources of professional farmers may be from population including of peasant,migrant workersreturning home,grass-roots cadres,veterans and entrepreneurial college students.The characteristic of different population was analyzed.Secondly,the questionnaire of 320 individuals was analyzed by using the dual logistic model.The results were shown that the willingness to take part in the training of professional farmers was affected by six factors which consist of the educational level,the scale of land,the willingness to undertake outlay,the nature of operation,the suitable content and the application of new knowledge.Thirdly,by interviews with government officials,teachers of training institutions,experts of training professional farmers,trainee to be professional farmers,it was suggested that five kinds of factors,such as the construction of the main body of agricultural management,supporting policies,financial support,management mechanisms of cultivation,environment of professional farmers,are the main external factors for the growth of professional farmers,and there are many problems to be solved.Finally,some suggestions were put forward for farmers,returning migrant workers,grass-roots village cadres,veterans and enterprising college students,and the methods,management and teachers of professional farmers training.Training should be divided into categories and levels,teaching management should be optimized,high-quality teachers should be created,and training effect should beimproved.We should improve the working mechanism in five aspects which are the main body of agricultural management,the policy system,the capital environment,the training management,the occupation environment for cultivating professional farmers.We should set up the professional farm population vigorously,and provide manpower support for the development of modern agriculture.
