Research On Industrial Transformation And Upgrading In Suzhou City

Since China's reform and opening up,Suzhou has continuously promoted industrial transformation and upgrading,and has become the prefecture-level city with the largest economic aggregate.In recent years,due to the changing domestic and foreign environment,the external market conditions supporting the eeonomic development of Suzhou have deteriorated,and the competition for domestic industrial development has become fierce,which has brought challenges to Suzhou's industrial transformation and upgrading.At the same time,the industrial transformation driven by the information technology revolution,China's relevant strategic measures for deepening reforms have brought opportunities for Suzhou's industrial transformation and upgrading.This paper first analyzes the current situation of industrial transformation and upgrading in Suzhou,including the evolution of industrial structure and the transformation and upgrading within the three industries,and compares with advanced domestic cities to find out the problems in Suzhou's industrial transformation and upgrading.Based on this,this paper analyzes the economic factors,social factors and environmental factors that affect the industrial transformation and upgrading and its impact on the industrial transformation and upgrading,and selects the indicators that reflect the transformation and upgrading level of Suzhou and the factors affecting the industrial transformation and upgrading of Suzhou.The principal component regression method is used to empirically analyze the impact of consumption,investment,foreign direct investment,foreign trade,labor force,human capital,technological innovation and ecological environment on Suzhou's industrial transformation and upgrading.The results show that consumption,total labor,human capital and technological innovation have a significant positive impact on the industrial transformation and upgrading of Suzhou.The ecological environment has a strong positive impact on the industrial transformation and upgrading of Suzhou.Investment has a certain positive impact on the industrial transformation and upgrading of Suzhou.The impact of foreign trade on the transformation and upgrading of Suzhou City is very weak,and foreign direct investment has not promoted the industrial transformation and upgrading of Suzhou.Finally,this paper puts forward the following suggestions for promoting industrial transformation and upgrading in Suzhou:cultivating emerging industries and transforming traditional industries to promoting high-end development of manufacturing industry;developing productive service industry,promoting its interactive development with manufacturing industry;developing "domestic capital" and making good use of "foreign capital" to jointly promote industrial transformation and upgrading;enhancing social innovation capabilities and relying on innovation to drive transformation and upgrading;creating a good environment for industrial transformation and upgrading.
