The Analysis Of Industrial Structure Transformation In Suzhou

Since the1990s, Suzhou began to undertake the international industry which made up Suzhou’s lack of industrial capital and science technology. This made rapid growth for Suzhou to be one of China’s most developed industrial cities. After20years of development, Suzhou’s industry faces great change in both domestic and foreign areas that lead to the low level export-oriented industrial development to be unsustainable. In conclusion Suzhou’s industry must make a choice which encourages to transform and upgrad industrial structure.This paper firstly summarize the relevant theories.of industrial transformation to lay a solid theoretical foundation for the above conclusions. Secondly, using the relevant theory to analyse the current industry structure of Suzhou, and also using the empirical model to research Suzhou’s current six leading industries.From those exploration we can find out the main question of Suzhou’s industrial structure. Thirdly, fully exploring the current domestic and international economic development trend and their influences on the industrial development direction, in order to make clear of Suzhou’s future industrial development direction. Basing on earlier fully analysis the last part make out the strategic emphasis of Suzhou’s industrial transformation, and puts forward some measures and suggestions.
