Technological SMEs are the basis of high-tech industries in various countries or regions,but they have weaknesses such as weak strength,poor risk tolerance and low survival rate.Research on how to promote its growth has important significance for the development of enterprises and regional economy.Technological innovation is the first viability of small and medium-sized technological enterprises,which can reduce enterprise costs and expand market share.For enterprises to achieve transformational growth,it is not enough to rely solely on technological innovation.In recent years,the innovation of business model has been paid more and more attention by enterprises.Technological innovation can help enterprises realize the first step of the transformation from scientific research value to commercial value,and create more competitive new products.Business model innovation can realize value creation and value transfer,effectively transfer new products to consumers,and realize the last step of the transformation of commercial value.Technological innovation and business model innovation cooperate to promote the growth of enterprises.So what kind of interaction exists between them,and how does this interaction affect the growth of enterprises? This is exactly what this paper considers and studies.Based on literature review,this paper establishes a coupling model to express the interaction between technological innovation and business model innovation.At the same time,because the two innovations rely on the products or services of enterprises,this paper studies the impact of technological innovation and business model innovation on the growth of enterprises in different product life cycles from the perspective of product life cycle.According to the annual report published by enterprises,taking 183 small and medium-sized technological enterprises in Shenzhen as samples,the paper establishes a multiple regression model of enterprise growth performance.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The coupling mechanism between technological innovation and business model innovation is studied.Through resource-based theory,synergy theory,system coupling theory and product life cycle theory,this paper analyses the motivation,coupling system,coupling stage and coupling law of coupling between technological innovation and business model innovation,and clarifies the interaction mechanism between technological innovation and business model innovation.(2)This paper explains the growth mechanism of small and medium-sized technological enterprises from a new perspective.By constructing the coupling model of technologicalinnovation and business model innovation,Gong Boz curve is used to divide the life cycle of the main products of enterprises.The relationship between technological innovation,business model innovation and the coupling of technological innovation and business model innovation and enterprise growth is studied through multiple regression analysis.The results show that technological innovation and business model innovation have significant effects on the growth of enterprises,and the coupling degree of technological innovation and business model innovation has different effects on the growth of enterprises in different product life cycles.There is an inverted U-shaped relationship between the coupling degree in the growth period and the growth of enterprises,and the coupling degree in the maturity period has a positive impact on the growth of enterprises.During the recession period,the coupling degree has no significant effect on the growth of enterprises.The results show that enterprises should evaluate the relationship between the benefits and costs of product investment in innovative resources in different life cycles,and rationally weigh the coupling degree between technological innovation and business model innovation.
