| Under the background of the new era,the tourism industry is becoming more and more important in the national economy.Research on the tourism industry has become a hot topic in the academic world.Tourism industry efficiency is a measure of the ability of a region to use resources rationally,and it is a yardstick and method to measure whether the industry can develop healthily and sustainably.Combining the time and space perspective to analyze the characteristics of the development and change of tourism industry efficiency,we can effectively examine the problems in regional tourism development,thereby promoting regional industrial upgrading and transformation,and contributing to the sustainable development of regional tourism industry.Therefore,this paper takes 18 cities and counties in Henan Province as the research object,analyzes the efficiency of tourism industry as the starting point,and analyzes the changes of tourism industry efficiency in Henan Province under the time and the spatial dimension from 2007 to 2017.Based on the domestic and foreign literature research,the classical BCC model and the Malmquist index model are used to analyze the efficiency of the tourism industry in Henan Province,combined with geography related knowledge,a series of calculation methods,such as spatial autocorrelation model,standard deviation ellipse and center of gravity model are used,to analyze the spatial characteristics,correlation,spatial agglomeration evolution pattern,and evolution of the development of total factor productivity,and its evolution path and characteristics of tourism industry efficiency in Henan Province.Meanwhile,using the mixed panel Tobit model,the main factors affecting the efficiency of tourism industry in Henan Province were explored.Finally,the corresponding improvement suggestions were put forward.The results show:(1)In terms of efficiency,from 2007 to 2017,the comprehensive efficiency of tourism industry in Henan Province is generally low,showing a downward trend of volatility.The main reason is that pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency show a downward trend in time series,among which pure technical efficiency effect on comprehensive efficiency more stronger;The total factor productivity of tourism industry in Henan Province is M-shaped fluctuations,and the overall trend is on the rise.The improvement effect of technological progress covers the negative effect caused by the decline of technical efficiency,which drives the production efficiency of tourism industry.(2)In terms of spatial analysis,the comprehensive efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of the tourism industry in Henan Province have obvious spatial differentiation,and with the development of time,the overall efficiency of the tourism industry has spatial correlation.For the obvious agglomeration characteristics,the development pattern of north-high and low-south is formed.From the migration performance of the total factor productivity of the tourism industry,it can be seen that the northeast-southwest direction of the tourism development pattern is strengthening,and there is a trend of turning to the east and west.(3)Influencing factors:tourism industry structure and market development potential are the main reasons affecting the comprehensive efficiency of tourism industry in Henan Province;tourism industry structure,regional economic development level,human capital investment,transportation convenience,opening degree,market development potential Both are the main factors affecting the scale efficiency;while in the pure technical efficiency model analysis,the model fitting degree is not high,so it is not analyzed. |
