In order to comply with the general trend of the global economy's transition from "industrial economy" to "service economy",the manufacturing enterprises has undergone service transformation.Servitization has become a necessary means for manufacturing companies to improve product competitiveness and expand profit margins. However, there has been no final conclusion on how servitization affects enterprise performance. In the academic world, there are scholars who support servitization to improve enterprise performance, and some scholars believe that there is a phenomenon of “servitization dilemma”.In the corporate world, although many enterprises have successfully transformed, there are still some enterprises whose performance does not rise and fall, transformation failed. The relationship between servitization and enterprise performance is not a simple impact relationship, but will be influenced by various factors from inside and outside the enterprise. It is an urgent problem to solve the impact mechanism between servitization and enterprise performance and guide manufacturing enterprises to successfully complete servitization transformation.Studying the relationship between servitization and enterprise performance provides a theoretical basis for how Chinese manufacturing enterprises can carry out servitization transformation.Based on the summarization and summary of the relationship between service enterprise and enterprise performance, this paper introduces environmental competition pressure and service-oriented behavior to analyze the relationship between the two:(1)Whether servitization promotes enterprise performance;(2)Whether the pressure of environmental competition can adjust the relationship between the two;(3)Whether the service-oriented behavior can adjust the relationship between the two;(4)Whether the adjustment of the relationship between servitization and enterprise performance by environmental competitive pressure is service-oriented Behavior acts as an intermediary.By constructing an intermediary regulatory effect model and using a combination of case studies and empirical research, the paper makes hypothesis verification of the conceptual model and derives the influence mechanism between servitization and enterprise performance. This paper independently developed the servitization scale and designed the questionnaire, collected 418 valid data, and constructed and tested the conceptual model. The research shows that:(1)Servitization is positively affecting enterprise performance.Servitization can make manufacturing enterprises break away from “productization trap”,improve differentiated competitive advantage and increase enterprise performance;(2)Environmental competition pressure positively regulates the relationship between servitization and enterprise performance.Fierce competition will increase the benefits that servitization brings to manufacturing enterprises.(3)Service-oriented behavior positively regulates the relationship between servitization and enterprise performance. The stronger the service orientation, the more value the company attaches to.The implementation of services, service transformation can be smoothly;(4)the role of environmental competition pressure on the relationship between servitization and enterprise performance is completely intermediated by service-oriented behavior, only when manufacturing companies strengthen their service-oriented behavior, environmental competition pressure will produce positive to adjust. The research results in this paper can enrich the research on the relationship between servitization and enterprise performance, and have important guiding significance for enterprise management.
