Project Management Maturity Model In Application Of Datang System Integration Project

Although the project management maturity model has been proved to be very effective in domestic and foreign organizations,it has not been paid attention to and applied in many domestic IT enterprises similar to Datang Company.This is not only because of the enterprise system and the management idea difference,also has the project management maturity model need to adapt to the localization.Project management,like other management,is a systematic process.Solving one or more problems of project management cannot solve the overall benefit of the project.While it is the increasing demand of domestic information market,one side is the bottleneck of project management level of system integration project.It is more necessary for domestic IT enterprises to practice project management maturity model.As a member of IT enterprise,the system integration project of Datang company always has such and such problems.Every financial year,the company will summarize,analyze and develop solutions.However,the project management status of Datang Company's system integration project has not been improved.In the face of the global IT industry competition,especially the competition of foreign IT companies with advanced project management level,Datang needs to apply and practice the project management maturity model to improve the project management level.On the basis of the existing project management maturity model,Datang Company customizes and practices the project management maturity model which conforms to the current situation of the enterprise and can be continuously updated.This paper will focus on "Comparison of project management maturity models","Management status of Datang company's system integration project","Establishment of project management maturity model for Datang company's system integration project","Project maturity assessment of Datang company's system integration project",and "Plan and implementation of project management improvement".Finally,we found a way to improve the project management of Datang Company's system integration project.By analyzing the company's current situation and comparing the project management maturity model,Datang has developed a project management maturity model suitable for itself.Based on the project management maturity model of the Datang's system integration project(DTPM3),we evaluate the maturity of the project management of Datang Company,and then design and implement the management improvement program.After more than a year of practice,Datang Company re-evaluated the project management status,confirming that the implementation effect is remarkable.Datang has established a project management process for system integration projects,and has upgraded from the initial level to standardization.
