China is the largest automobile market and produces the largest number of automobiles in the world.The competition between enterprises,however,is becoming more and more fierce.Under such circumstance,automotive companies have to decrease cost and improve product quality to meet consumer' diversified requirements.Reducing logistics expense is an important competitive approach.Traditional auto logistics is mainly based on highway transportation.However,with the published regulations of G1589-2016 in 2016,costs of highway transportation has increased sharply.The mixed transportation mode which combines highway transportation with railway transportation is a solution to decrease the cost.Hence,selecting new modes and methods of transportation has become a significant research for logistic firms.In this paper,we first summarize the related theories of automotive logistics and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of various modes of transportation.The SWOT analysis theory is used to evaluate the adaptability and superiority of vehicle parts under the mode of railway-highway mix transportation.Then,based on a company's real operation practice,we establish a cost minimize model with linear programming.We solve the model with lingo and find the most suitable transport mode.After that,we list out necessary conditions for mix-transportation by considering the OEM's policy support,logistic company's hardware and software strength.Finally,we provide advices on mix-transport for automobile industry,including the precaution measures on transportation quality,in-transit management and emergency plans ect.. |
