the international competitiveness of the service industry has important guiding significance for clarifying the status quo of the service industry in the countries along the “Belt and Road” and adjusting the development and transformation of the service industry.Based on the analysis of the influencing factors of the international competitiveness of the service industry,it is pointed out that Improve the direction of the competitiveness of the service industry in countries along the “Belt and Road”.Firstly, based on the value-added trade statistics method, this paper uses the WWZ measurement method to select the service industry value-added export value and the display comparative advantage index(NRCA)to characterize 58 countries along the “Belt and Road”(see Appendix). And the status quo of China’s service industry competitiveness. In the analysis of the international competitiveness of service industry based on the value-added exports of service industry,it can be seen that according to the comparative analysis of added value of different regions, the service industry competitiveness level in Southeast Asia and other CIS countries is found.Compared with other areas along the line,it has comparative advantages.According to the comparative analysis of different factor-intensive service industries,it is found that knowledge-intensive service industry is an effective way to enhance the international competitiveness of the service industry. In addition, based on the NRCA index to measure the international competitiveness of the service industry, the study found that the overall level of China’s service industry is not high, only in the four major areas of electricity, gas, water, retail trade, accommodation and catering, and residential services.Sub-sectors have comparative advantages;on the other hand, most of the countries along the route have no significant comparative advantages, especially in the knowledge-intensive service sector, the comparative disadvantages of the financial intermediation and commercial services segment are significant, and there is no clear indication that there is an improvement trend. However,in the labor-intensive and capital-intensive service sectors, such as construction and power, gas, water and other sub-sectors have a stable comparative advantage, but its comparative advantage is not significant.Secondly, using the regression model,an empirical analysis of the influencing factors of the international competitiveness of the service industry in 54 countries was conducted. The results show that the overall service industry,labor-intensive service industry, and capital-intensive service industry knowledge-intensive service industry are significantly affected by the three variables of fixed broadband Internet users, per capita GDP and service industry openness;Central and Eastern Europe,West Asia,North Africa and Southeast Asia are all significantly positively affected by per capita GDP.Finally, based on the previous analysis, this paper proposes to further increase the investment in research and development, strengthen the construction of modern infrastructure, open the service trade market, and improve the quality of talents under the premise of the comparative advantage of the service industry trade currently pragmatic. As for the development relationship between China and the countries along the line,it is proposed to establish a differentiated cooperation mechanism according to the different competitiveness of the industry. |
