The Impact Of Industrial Clusters Development On Corporate Exports

With the implementation of the “Belt and Road” policy and the continuous establishment of the inland “Free Trade Zone”,the central and western regions are attracting extensive attention at home and abroad.At the same time,with the continuous improvement of infrastructure construction,the inland provinces' foreign trade is also developing rapidly.From January to July 2018,the import and export volume of the western region is 113.4 billion US dollars,about one tenth of the import and export volume of the eastern region of 1,159.7 billion US dollars,while the export growth rate of the western region is 25.5%,which is twice the export growth rate of 10.9% in the eastern region.This fully shows that the highspeed import and export growth rate in the western region is accompanied by the low total import and export volume.The phenomenon of low import and export volume in the western region but high growth rate deserves attention.However,the key to this study is to find out the reasons for the rapid growth of trade in the western region.The above phenomenon is partly explained as the development of transportation infrastructure recently.However,in recent years,some western regions with developed traffic have not experienced the above phenomenon,for example,Chongqing,its first half of 2018.The growth rate of imports and exports is only 11%.In this paper,Sichuan Province is selected as a typical study in the western region.According to the data,the import and export growth rate of Sichuan Province in the first half of 2018 was 24.9%,but the total value of imports and exports was only 244.9 billion Yuan,and its high-speed export and the characteristics of lower export stocks make it a typical example of studying the western region.From the example of Chongqing,it can be seen that Sichuan's high-speed import and export growth is likely to have other reasons to explain.From the experience of the eastern coastal areas,even if there are many small and medium-sized enterprises,if they can be reasonably make use of their respective advantages for development,they can still achieve the effect of improving the overall export,and the production mode in which this plays a major role is the “industrial cluster”,such as Zhejiang brothel sweater industry cluster,etc.This paper will draw on the development experience of industrial clusters in the eastern coastal areas to conduct research on Sichuan Province's enterprises,trying to prove that the development level of industrial clusters can play a role in the export of Sichuan Province's enterprises.In the specific research process,this paper mainly selects the 2004 China Economic Census Data and the 2008 China Economic Census Data for research.Taking enterprises as the main research object,based on the calculation of the development level of county-level industrial clusters,the industry is studied from a microscopic perspective about the impact of the level of cluster development on corporate exports.After using the basic empirical analysis and robustness analysis of the industrial proximity index for the development of industrial clusters,the conclusions of this paper are as follows: First,the higher the degree of industrial chain integration within the industrial clusters,the more favorable it is to promote the enterprises' exports in the intensive margin;Secondly,the more diversified the industry within the industrial clusters,the more favorable it is to promote the export of enterprises in the extensive margin;At the same time,the faster the internal industry of the industrial cluster transforming and upgrading,the more favorable it is to promote the export of internal enterprises;Finally,the higher the production efficiency of enterprises,the more favorable it is to promoting the impact of the development of industrial clusters on exports.Through the above analysis,the targeted countermeasures and suggestions given in this paper are as follows: 1.Strengthen the integration of industrial chain within the industrial cluster;2.Promote the diversified industrial development within the industrial cluster;3.Accelerate the industrial transformation and upgrading of the industrial cluster;4.Improve the production status of the enterprises to amplify the role of production efficiency.
