The Influence Of Enterprise Diversification On Technological Innovation

With the increasingly fierce competition among enterprises,enterprises want to take a place in the current environment,only by the development of resource-intensive and labor-intensive industries is not enough.Enterprises need to improve their technological innovation ability and provide technological innovation results with high quality and excellent experience.As the main body of technological innovation,enterprises should give full play to the due role of technological innovation,promote the transformation of technological innovation into achievements,rely on innovation to improve competitive strength,gain competitive advantages,and form their own core competitiveness.Current China represented by HUAWEI,ZTE,Gree,etc of the rise of a group of outstanding enterprises,are based on innovation as the power,to a large number of output to support r&d,patent technology,the technology into innovation,promote the traditional industry to accelerate the upgrade,to promote China's manufacturing to China's smart,by following the innovation to independent innovation.On the other hand,when an enterprise becomes bigger and stronger in a certain industry and has sufficient competitiveness,it will often choose a diversified business strategy to develop to other industries.At present,domestic enterprises represented by Gree seek diversified development while strengthening technological innovation.It can be seen from the diversification discount theory that scholars tend to believe that enterprises should conduct professional operation,but it can also be found from the actual observation that no matter domestic or global leading large enterprises are basically diversified enterprises.In order to study the influence of enterprise diversification on technological innovation,this paper analyzes the influence of enterprise diversification and degree of diversification on technological innovation output and efficiency and the mechanism of its influence by collecting and sorting the relevant data of diversification,patent and r&d investment of Chinese a-share listed companies.Through the research,the following conclusions are drawn:First,at present,there are many domestic enterprises adopting diversified operation mode,but the degree of diversification is generally not high.In addition,only a few enterprises have outstanding technological innovation ability,and most of them are not strong enough.Second,on the whole,diversification will inhibit the output of technological innovation and reduce the efficiency of technological innovation.With the increase of diversification,the output and efficiency of technological innovation will be further reduced.Third,to be specific,enterprises' diversification or improvement of diversification degree will significantly inhibit the output of invention patents and utility model patents of enterprises,but the impact on the output of design patents is not significant.Fourth,the diversification of enterprises will reduce the intensity of research and development investment,thus resulting in the decline in the number and efficiency of patent output,indicating that technological innovation investment is one of the ways in which diversification has an impact on the performance of technological innovation.The purpose of this paper is to study the influence of enterprise diversification on technological innovation.By studying the impact of domestic enterprise diversification on technological innovation,it can enrich domestic research results on enterprise diversification and innovation,and provide a new perspective for domestic diversification strategy theory.In addition,on the basis of the research of scholars,this paper adopts the output and efficiency of technological innovation of enterprises instead of r&d input as the index to measure the technological innovation ability of enterprises,explores the influence of diversified operation of enterprises on technological innovation,and providessome reference Suggestions for domestic enterprises that plan to implement diversification or have already implemented diversification.The content of text research may be innovative in the following two aspects.From the perspective of research,this paper focuses on the impact of enterprise diversification and the degree of diversification on the output and efficiency of technological innovation,which makes up for the deficiencies in the two research fields of diversification and technological innovation and is innovative to some extent.In terms of research content,this paper uses the number of patents to measure the technological innovation output of enterprises,and the ratio of the number of patents to the natural logarithm of enterprise scale to measure the technological innovation efficiency of enterprises.It is innovative to some extent,and it is more scientific to use these two indicators to measure the technological innovation performance.In addition,empirical analysis is made on whether to diversify,degree of diversification and three different types of patents,and more specific and meaningful conclusions are drawn.
