Trade Facilitation Of China And Southeast Asia Countries And Its Impact On China's Exports

This paper constructs a systematic index system of trade facilitation,and incorporates it into the analytical framework of China's technology content of export products to Southeast Asia.It constructs a model to empirically test its impact on China's technology content of export products from the two levels of export flow classified according to technology level and index constructed according to export technology content.The empirical results based on export flow show that the trade facilitation of Southeast Asian countries can promote the trade flow of China's exports to Southeast Asia.From the perspective of specific industries,the impact to the middle and low technology industries are the strongest.The sub-indicators of trade facilitation of Southeast Asian countries have played a significant role in promoting China's export trade.According to the role of the order from large to small is: customs environment,system and financial environment indicators,e-commerce and technology,port efficiency.China's trade facilitation has a positive effect on the export volume of China's technology industry.In terms of sub-index effect,China's e-commerce and technology have the most significant impact on China's exports to Southeast Asian countries,followed by the institutional and financial environment.The empirical results from the perspective of export technological sophistications show that the trade facilitation of Southeast Asian countries has a significant role in promoting the technological sophistications of China's exports to Southeast Asia.From the point of view of different industries,trade facilitation in Southeast Asian countries can promote the export technological sophistications of middle-tech industries,but not significant in the export technological sophistications of high-tech and low-tech industries.Among the sub-indicators,the customs environment has the greatest impact on the technological sophistications of China's exports to Southeast Asia,followed by the system and financial environment,port efficiency.China's trade facilitation has a positive effect on the export technological sophistications of China's middle-tech industry.Among the sub-indexes,the system and financial environment have the greatest impact on the export technological sophistications of China.On the basis of empirical research,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to promote trade facilitation in Southeast Asian countries and optimize China's export structure.
