"Spatial Deprivation" refers to the fact that under the condition of open regional system, the core cities have made the geographical elements of the marginal areas accumulate to the core cities continuously through various methods and ways, thus bringing a certain negative impact to the economic development of the marginal areas. After the reform and opening up,China's urbanization has entered a stage of rapid development. With the steady advancement of the new urbanization strategy, urban agglomerations have become the main space of China's urbanization at this stage. In recent years, with urban agglomerations as the research background, the study of integration and integration between different levels of cities has become a hot spot in the study of urbanization in China. The research has been based on the theory of growth pole,core-edge,etc..Most of them pay attention to the spatial diffusion of core cities and its agglomeration and integration effects. However, there is relatively little research on the negative regional externalities of the core cities in the process of integrated development,so this paper studies the problem of spatial deprivation in regional development with Changchun-Jilin region as the research object.Explaining its geographical process, spatial pattern and mechanism of action, and then analyzing the realization path of overcoming deprivation, its significance is very obvious. This article is divided into six parts. The introduction part include the Spatial Deprivation's background, significance and domestic and foreign research review. The second part is related concepts? The third part analyzes the development situation of Changchun-Jilin region integrated region and establishes a multi-dimensional measurement indicator system based on the comprehensive development concept to describe the spatial differentiation pattern of regional development opportunities. The fourth part briefly describes and analyzes the process of space deprivation based on multi-scale geographic element movement. The fifth part mainly analyzes the possible influence factors of space deprivation effect in Changchun-Jilin integrated region; The last part is the conclusion, summarizes the empirical analysis of the full text and discusses the compensation path of space deprivation.Through the research, the conclusion is drawn:(1)In Changchun-Jilin integration area, the "core and edge" is still the most dominant feature in the spatial pattern of regional development.(2)The current Changchun-Jilin region is in the stage of development where the agglomeration effect is greater than the diffusion effect, and the level of development of the core city is higher than that of its surrounding area. The gradient difference(decreasing from the core to the edge)of the comprehensive development level is real.(3)Jiutai District and Yongji County were doubly deprived of Changchun-Jilin region and formed a clear development "depression."(4)For marginal areas, there is no comprehensive development."Balanced and adequate" development should be based on the development of the characteristics of the carrying capacity of resources and the environment.(5)The development gap between the core city and the marginal area is closely related to the geographical location, the core city development stage, the industrial structure of the core city, and the distance between the core and the edge.
