Ethnic villages in Guizhou has aroused widespread study interest in the academic world,for it has accumulated a number of ethnic tourism villages of unique developmental model represented by Langde Shang village with the anti-poverty through tourism development over 30 years based on the distinctive ethnic culture and quiet rural landscape.Local residents have benefited greatly,as a result of the increased economy and the changed appearance of the villages from the tourism development.However,with the passage of time and the development of urbanization,the tourism development of ethnic villages in Guizhou has experienced the crises of sustainable development,such as the migration of cultural subjects,the transformation of business subjects,the weakening of local culture,the dissipation of ethnic cultural characteristics,and the homogenization of tourism products.At the same time,the increased demand for homesickness and tourism activities motivated by returning,and the poetic expression of “retaining homesickness” in the report on the work of the government in 2013 have triggered reflection on the development of urbanization and looking back on the countryside and traditions in the society.“Homesickness” has also been used in many fields such as architecture,design,and sustainable development.Ethnic villages in Guizhou is the natural place to carry and release homesickness.Ethnic villages in Guizhou would usher in a new opportunity for development,for at present,the government has paid great attention to the tourism development of ethnic villages and the ones with homesickness element,the media has greatly heightened the landscape of homesickness,the society has shown great interest in the tourism resources of ethnic villages,and the improvement of transportation conditions inside and outside Guizhou province has boosted the tourism development.On the basis of tourism gaze theory,Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and division of labor theory,this paper firstly sorts out the connotation of homesickness and its causes through literature reading,introduces the tourism development situation of ethnic villages in Guizhou,and summarizes the sustainable development crisis it faces.Then,the study on the value of homesickness in the tourism development of ethnic villages in Guizhou is carried out from the three aspects of tourists' needs,the appeal of hosts and the current use of tourism resources of ethnic villages in Guizhou.Based on the reflection of hosts in Langde Shang Village on the contradictory of the tourism development,supported by the needs of tourists' homesickness,next,this paper proposes four sustainable development methods as following,preserving the triggers of homesickness and constructing the tourism symbols,strengthening the cultural self-confidence and retaining the core competence,reconciling the powerful side and creating the harmonious atmosphere of homesickness,and positioning the tourism market accurately and realizing the win-win benefits with the field study.Meanwhile,it is necessary for the hosts,the government,tourism companies and other powerful subjects to reach a consensus on the division of labor to realize the sustainable development approaches from point to point and then to the tourist villages of various ethnic villages in Guizhou,so this paper finally provides corresponding solutions and suggestions with the theory of division of labor.It is not only a supplement to the study on the sustainable development of the ethnic villages tourism in Guizhou,but also an effective exploration of the sustainable development of tourism in Lang de shang village.
