Study On The Effect Of China's Circulation Industry Development On Income Gap Between Urban And Rural Residents

Since the 19 th National Congress,the main contradictions in our society have been transformed into contradictions between the people's growing needs for a better life and the development of unbalanced development.The income gap between urban and rural residents is an important manifestation of the uneven development of imbalance.In the past 40 years of reform and opening up,China's socialist market economy has developed rapidly,and the absolute gap between urban and rural residents' income has been expanding.Although the relative income gap has eased in the past decade,it has not changed the situation that China is one of the countries with the largest income gap in the world.Therefore,narrowing the income gap between urban and rural residents has always been a key concern of the central government.The factors affecting the income gap between urban and rural residents have also been widely studied in the academic circles.Based on this,this paper mainly studies the mechanism of the development of China's circulation industry on the income gap between urban and rural residents.The research on the influencing factors of the income gap between urban and rural residents has theoretical innovation significance,and it has practical guiding significance for the policy formulation of narrowing the income gap between urban and rural residents.This paper first introduces the research background,that is,the status quo of the income gap between urban and rural residents in China and the status of the development of the circulation industry,in order to propose the effect of the development of the circulation industry on the income gap between urban and rural residents.Then,it explains the main nouns involved in this paper and expounds the related classical theories.Through combing the domestic and foreign literatures,it summarizes the related research on the development of the circulation industry and the income gap between urban and rural residents,and the influencing factors of the income gap between urban and rural residents.This points out the research direction of this paper.Then compare the advantages and disadvantages of several indicators and methods to measure the income gap between urban and rural residents,and choose the income ratio of urban and rural residents and the Theil index as the reasons for measuring the income gap between urban and rural residents.Next,we measure the income gap between urban and rural residents in China,and show the current situation of the income gap between urban and rural residents and the development of circulation industry in China.On this basis,the mechanism of the development of circulation industry on the income gap between urban and rural residents is interpreted.The main mechanism is the development of circulation industry to promote urbanization and industrial structure optimization.The urbanization process and industrial structure optimization affect the income gap between urban and rural residents,thus the development of circulation industry.Acting on the income gap between urban and rural residents.Finally,this paper uses the panel data of 31 provinces and cities in China from 2004 to 2017 to empirically analyze the above theoretical research.Then,the explanatory variables were transformed from the income ratio of urban and rural residents to the Theil Index for robustness test,and empirical research was conducted on the wholesale and retail trade,transportation,warehousing and postal services,accommodation and catering industries in the circulation industry,and conducted subregional empirical research on the eastern,central and western regions of China.Based on the above theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,the conclusions are drawn:(1)The development of circulation industry can improve the income gap between urban and rural residents;(2)The development of circulation industry can promote the urbanization process and the optimization of industrial structure;(3)The existence of the intermediate effect of the development of circulation industry on the income gap between urban and rural residents;(4)The development of circulation various sub-sectors can narrow the income gap between urban and rural residents;(5)There are regional differences in the effect of the development of circulation industry on the income gap between urban and rural residents;(6)Education,economic opening and financial development can effectively narrow the income gap between urban and rural residents;(7)Economic development and financial support for agriculture cannot effectively narrow the income gap between urban and rural residents;(8)The Theil Index can better reflect the income gap between urban and rural residents.
