In recent years,the construction industry at home and abroad is facing huge market pressure,fierce competition in the industry,and constantly adjusting the industrial structure.If a construction company wants to stand out in the industry,it must set a strategic goal for the company and quickly seize the market.ZJ Construction Company is the leader of the construction industry.However,the company has been able to adapt to the ever-changing market environment due to the simple and traditional performance appraisal method.As a result,the company’s performance level has been declining in recent years,and the overall situation is in a downturn and halts.Therefore,the company urgently needs to make innovations in performance appraisal,improve the current performance appraisal methods,and establish a systematic and comprehensive performance appraisal system suitable for the company’s development.As a performance management tool,the Balanced Scorecard meets the requirements of ZJ Construction Company in performance evaluation.It is based on the company’s strategic objectives and can help companies solve the imbalance between the original financial and non-financial indicators.Look at the development needs of enterprises.Construction companies should pay attention to performance evaluation in the future development,and use performance evaluation to improve organizational management capabilities,therebyimproving corporate efficiency.Based on this perspective,it is very practical to explore the application of the Balanced Scorecard in the performance evaluation of ZJ Construction Company.This article is divided into six parts.The first part clarifies the significance and purpose of this paper,and combs the research results of using the balanced scorecard in the performance evaluation of construction industry at home and abroad.The second part introduces the relevant theoretical basis of target management and performance evaluation of balanced scorecard.The third part introduces the current performance evaluation methods and limitations of ZJ Construction Company,analyzes the company’s demand for the balanced scorecard performance evaluation system,and explains the preconditions to introduce the Balanced Scorecard from four aspects.The fourth part,according to the strategy and vision of ZJ Construction Company,draws a strategic map and visually reflects the relationship between each level.Then,20 evaluation indicators were selected,internal process and learning growth.When setting weights,AHP was selected to construct the company’s performance evaluation system.In the fifth part,through the calculation and investigation of ZJ Construction Company’s 2017 index data,the evaluation indicators are comprehensively scored,and the evaluation results are finally obtained.Some problems and improvement measures were proposed to the company,and the expected effect of the application of the balanced scorecard in the company was also evaluated.In the sixth part,from the preconditions,implementationprocess,professional technology and other aspects of the implementation of the balanced scorecard,the company puts forward corresponding suggestions and countermeasures to ensure the application of the balanced scorecard.In the seventh part,this paper summarizes the paper,finds out the inadequacies of the article,and forecasts the future development of the balanced scorecard,and proposes the direction of further research.Although the balanced scorecard performance evaluation system designed and applied in this paper is for ZJ Construction Company,other similar enterprises in the construction industry can also adjust and improve the indicators based on their own characteristics.Balanced scorecards can help construction companies to make up for the shortcomings of traditional performance appraisal,multi-dimensionally understand their own performance levels,and improve them in a targeted manner,and ultimately enhance the core competitiveness of construction companies and realize corporate value.
