Study On The Poverty Of Rural Old Age And The Path Of Ruling Poverty From The Perspective Of Life Course

With the continuous progress of population aging in China,the rural surplus labor force flows outward,the population structure of rural areas has undergone profound changes,the proportion of the elderly population is gradually increasing,and the resulting social and economic problems are becoming increasingly prominent.The high incidence of poverty among rural elderly groups is the result of backward regional economic development,declining physiological function and inadequate social security,but it is also caused by the accumulated weakness of rural elderly groups in the course of their lives.Therefore,based on the life course paradigm,this paper discusses the influence mechanism of the accumulated weakness of rural elderly people in the course of life on the poverty of the elderly,and explores the path of poverty treatment in the rural elderly.Using the follow up data of the Chinese Family Tracking Survey(CFPS)in 2016,this paper analyzes the current situation of poverty among the rural elderly from three dimensions of economic poverty,health poverty and mental poverty,and uses logistic regression method to study the factors that govern poverty in the elderly in rural areas,and uses the tendency value matching(PSM).The law studies the effect of social insurance,neighbourhood help and family economic security on the poor poverty of rural elderly.The study found that the current situation of rural poverty in old age: the incidence of economic poverty among the elderly in rural areas in China is 75.53%,the incidence of healthy poverty is54.51%,and the incidence of mental poverty is 34.89%,it can be seen that the incidence of poverty in rural areas is still high,especially the problem of healthy poverty and mental poverty is becoming increasingly serious.The mechanism ofpoverty affects: the time and space of the rural elderly affect the poverty of the elderly,the early education level of the life course,the type of work affects the income source in the old age;the more support rural older persons receive from interdependent lives,the less vulnerable they are to poverty;The major life events experienced by older persons in rural areas affect poverty in old age,Widows,etc.,can exacerbate poverty in old age;the stronger the individual ability of the rural elderly,the less likely they are to fall into poverty.On the path of poverty reduction: social endowment insurance and social medical insurance have strong poverty reduction effect on the elderly poverty in rural areas,and social medical insurance has a significant effect on poverty reduction in rural elderly people’s mental poverty;neighbourhood help has a strong poverty reduction effect on rural elderly mental poverty;family economic security for rural elderly economic poverty,Mental poverty has a significant effect on poverty reduction.Based on the research results,this paper holds that the path of poverty treatment for the elderly in rural areas should be based on the government,society,family and elderly individuals: the Government should further improve the social welfare system of the rural elderly,strengthen the construction of the medical and health service system in rural areas,and ensure the rural elderly life;Non-profit organizations,voluntary organizations and communities are actively engaged in the cause of rural elderly services;families should give full play to the role of rural elderly pension basic guarantee,carry forward the traditional filial piety culture,strengthen the responsibility ethic of family old age,and the rural elderly should establish a positive concept of old age and integrate into the village community life,Live a more integrated and socially valuable life.
