Why are unethical behaviors happening frequently? Past research often neglects to study the relationship between appraisal goal difficulty and employee unethical.Most studies focus on the impact of organizations,individuals,and contextual factors.Although such research has certain value,it does not fully consider the impact of goal setting.Appraisal goal difficulty may cause employees unethical behavior.All in all,the purpose of this study is to understand how and when appraisal goal difficulty affects unethical behavior.Also,this study explores the mediating role of moral disengagement,and the moderating role of perceived procedural unjustice and perceived leadership support.This article first describes the definition,measurement,and current state of several major variables in Chapter 2.Then in the third chapter,combined with the theory of moral cognition development,the theoretical hypothesis of appraisal goal difficulty to unethical behavior is proposed.To test these theoretical hypotheses,this study analyzed of the data obtained from the survey.The results of the data analysis support the assumptions presented in Chapter 3.Appraisal goal difficulty has a significant positive impact on the employee moral disengagement.Perceived procedural unjustice moderates the positive relationship between appraisal goal difficulty and moral disengagement,that is,perceived procedural unjustice is higher than the team with low perceived procedural unjustice.The positive impact of enhancing appraisal goal difficulty on employee unethical behavior.Moral disengagement has a significant positive impact on employee unethical behavior.Leadership support moderates the positive relationship between moral disengagemenet and employee unethical behavior.That is,leadership support will weaken the positive impact of moral disengagment on employee unethical behavior compared with lower leadership support.Perceived procedural unjustice is low and perceived leadership support is low.The greater the mediating effect between the appraisal goal difficulty and employee unethical behavior,the sixth chapter of the thesis summarizes and discusses the research results.Based on the conclusions and shortcomings of this study,some future research directions are pointed out.
