Research On The Impact Of China's OFDI Reverse Technology Spillover On Technological Innovation

With the advent of the new era of the economy,China's emphasis on innovation has increased significantly,and innovation-driven development has been a new support for the economy.In the context of economic globalization,production and innovation are not closed-door vehicles.The improvement of innovation capability can not only create a good innovation environment in China through its own efforts,but also make full use of international resources to serve its own innovation.Therefore,it is very important to improve the level of innovation in China by obtaining technology spillovers through OFDI.This paper constructs a research model of reverse technology spillover and innovation of FDI.It combines technology spillover of FDI,technology spillover of import trade,R&D expenditure,R&D manpower expenditure and per capita GDP of province.The impact of reverse technology spillover of FDI on innovation.This paper uses the provincial panel data from 2006 to 2016 to analyze.The empirical results show that:(1)Technology spillovers from FDI have a significant positive impact on the improvement of innovation capacity in China.Even if the two variables of technology spillover brought about by FDI and import trade are technology spillover,the reverse technology spillover of FDI still has a significant positive impact on innovation.(2)R&D manpower expenditure and R&D expenditure have positive effects on innovation,but the impact of R&D expenditure is not significant.(3)Of the six explanatory variables,GDP per capita of each province plays the most important role in regulating innovation.According to the conclusions of the study,this paper puts forward relevant recommendations.(1)We should continue to expand the scale of foreign direct investment,change the emphasis of foreign direct investment and encourage technology-seeking foreign direct investment to improve the technology level of our country;(2)We should strengthen the reserve of scientific research personnel and enhance the ability of technology absorption to make full use of technology spillover;(3)We should realize inter-regional foreign investment and trade development.
