Since the reform and opening up,China's participation in international division of labor and trade has deepened,and China's manufacturing exports have achieved a huge leap.However,China's manufacturing industry has long been at the low end of the value chain division,along with the decline in labor cost advantages and resource costs in recent years.The rise of the manufacturing industry and the return of manufacturing in developed countries,China's manufacturing exports are facing enormous internal and external pressures,and it is imperative to promote its transformation and upgrading.On the other hand,China's service industry has developed rapidly in recent years,and it has great potential on development.The mode of input enters the manufacturing industry,and the industry's production efficiency is improved through the forward-looking relationship between the industries,and at the same time,the technological content of manufactured goods is increased.Therefore,promoting the development of China's manufacturing industry to “service” is one of the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing.In an important direction,it is of great significance to study the service content of exports in the manufacturing industry to clarify the direction of China's future service and improve the export competitiveness of the manufacturing industry.This paper used the MRIO model to calculate the service content of China's manufacturing exports from 2000 to 2014,which based on the latest world input-output table released in 2016,and the service content is decomposed at home and abroad in order to analysis the trend of service content,and the differences in service content of different factor-intensive manufacturing sectors were discussed.In addition,the service content in manufacturing exports was analyzed in depth,and the domestic and international service content sources were described.The trajectory of change,and finally selected countries with similar development level of China's manufacturing industry,a comparative analysis of the structure of service content in manufacturing exports of these countries.The following are the conclusions of this paper: 1.The total service content of China's manufacturing exports is currently low,but it is on an upward trend.Among them,the domestic and international service content showed a reverse change,the domestic service content showed an upward trend,while the foreign service content showed a downward trend,and the domestic service content dominated.Second,thelabor and capital-intensive manufacturing sector had lower service content.The service content of the technology-intensive manufacturing sector is relatively high.Third,the foreign service content of China's manufacturing exports mainly comes from developed countries.The main source areas have gradually developed from the Asian region to the European and American regions.From the perspective of the service content source industry,the domestic knowledge-intensive service industry accounted for the largest increase in investment,while the capital-intensive service industry accounted for the proportion of investment has been decreasing.The proportion of investment in the service industry decreased first and then increased,indicating that China's domestic knowledge-intensive service industry has developed.The proportion of the three types of factor-intensive service industries in foreign countries is relatively stable.Fourth,China's manufacturing exports are more dependent on the production services such as transportation and finance.Compared with the United States,India,and South Korea,China is in the transportation sector.The financial services industry has comparative advantages,but the front-end departments such as “computer programming,consulting and related activities and information services” and “management and support service activities” have comparative disadvantages.The domestic knowledge-intensive service sector still has very Great development space.Based on the above conclusions,this paper argues that it is necessary to expand the openness of the service industry,reform the service industry system,and increase investment in the productive service industry.We should vigorously develop domestic modern knowledge-intensive service industries and attach importance to the transformation of domestic advantageous industries.
