With the continuous transformation of the world economy to the service economy, the added value of the service industry accounts for a larger proportion of the total output value. The added value of the global service industry accounts for about 70% of the total output value.China's service industry started late, but in the country. With the support of relevant policies, the service industry is developing rapidly. In 2017,the added value of China's service industry accounted for 51.6% of GDP,which was 13.4 percentage points higher than that of 10 years ago(the service industry added value accounted for 38.2% in 2007)..Although China's service industry is developing at a relatively fast pace, the regional imbalance in the service industry is becoming more and more prominent. The service industry in the eastern region is far higher than the central and western regions. The difference and convergence model of service industry development level is the main analytical model for studying the development of regional service industry. In order to better reflect the development level of service industry in various regions of China, this paper starts with the three dimensions of development foundation, economic contribution and growth potential, and selects 16 indicators that affect the development level of service industry, through analytic hierarchy process and entropy rights. The law determines the weights of the indicators in each dimension, and thus obtains the service industry development index scores of the provinces in the years 2006-2016,in order to more realistically reflect the development level of the service industry in each province, based on the service industry development index.Using the Gini coefficient, the logarithmic dispersion mean and the Theil index to reflect the differences in the service industry development indices of various provinces in China, and dividing the provinces of China into the eastern, central and western regions to further analyze the differences between the regions. It shows that between 2006 and 2009,the running track of the difference of China's service industry development index shows a certain downward trend, and the running track of China's service industry development index in 2009-2016 shows a certain upward trend. In addition, from the difference of the service industry development index of the three regions in the east and the west, the difference in the service industry development index. The convergence of service industry development refers to the trend of narrowing the gap in the development level of service industry in different regions of China. The traditional convergence study assumes that the regions are independent of each other,so the impact of geospatial factors is not considered, but the actual situation However, there are often economic, technological and other flows between different regions. Therefore, each region is not an independent individual. The level of service industry development in various regions is likely to have spatial correlation,so we cannot adopt traditional Convergence model. This paper adopts the method of spatial econometrics to verify that there is a significant spatial correlation between the development level of service industry in each province. Therefore, based on this, the appropriate spatial econometric model is selected to analyze the absolute ? convergence of China's service industry development level.Further introducing the four control variables of population density, government influence, foreign trade dependence and human capital stock for conditional ? convergence analysis, the empirical results are significant, and at the same time, the timeliness and sub-regional robustness test of China's service industry development level is carried out.Strengthen the grasp of the reliability of the model.
