An Empirical Study On The Impact Of New Urbanization On Industrial Structure Upgrading

Since the reform and opening up,China has continuously adjusted and optimized the industrial structure to promote stable and rapid economic growth.However,during the “new normal” period of the economy,the economic growth slowed down,and the continuous adjustment of the industrial structure faced overcapacity and low industrial coordination capacity.New challenges such as uneven regional development.In addition,China's urbanization development lags behind industrialization seriously,and has become the primary factor restricting the further upgrading of industrial structure.The extensive development model of traditional urbanization has caused problems such as “urban diseases” to become increasingly prominent,and has produced many negative effects on China's industrial structure adjustment.Therefore,China clearly proposes to accelerate the implementation of the national new urbanization plan,realize the development and transformation of urbanization from heavy quantity to heavy quality,further promote the integration of production cities,promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure with new urbanization construction,and finally realize economic transformation and development..This article is aimed at the new urbanization and the upgrading of industrial structure.The two governments and the public are highly concerned about the hot issues.On the basis of reviewing and combing the relevant literature,we first select indicators from the four aspects of population,society,economy and environment to build a new type.The comprehensive evaluation index system of urbanization,and the entropy weight method is used to calculate the new urbanization level of China.Secondly,the industrial structure upgrading coefficient is measured to measure the level of industrial structure upgrading.Finally,the relevant control variables are introduced to construct an empirical model for new towns.The empirical analysis of the specific effects of the industrial structure upgrade has resulted in the following conclusions:First,the level of new urbanization in the eastern,central and western regions of China is gradually increasing,but there are significant differences between regions.The development level of new urbanization in the eastern region is the highest,and the central and western regions are relatively backward.Second,the eastern and middle regions of China The industrial structure in the western region has shown an upward trend.The eastern region has the highest and rising trend,and the central region is higher than the western region.In addition,the industrial structure level in the central and western regions is gradually increasing.Third,the new urbanization can be positively promoted.China's industrial structure has been upgraded,especially in the eastern and central regions.For the western region,the promotion of industrial upgrading by new urbanization is not significant.
