With the continuous expansion of business scale,the strengthening of financial supervision and the deepening of the financial reform process,the competition in the banking industry has become increasingly fierce.Performance appraisal is an important means to strengthen the internal management of banks,enhance the morale of the staff and improve the satisfaction of employees.The development of the banking industry plays a vital role.How to establish an effective performance appraisal system is an important issue facing the development of major banks.This paper takes the research object of Lanzhou Branch of China Merchants Bank.Firstly,it focuses on the related theories of performance appraisal such as key performance indicator method,balanced score card and mandatory normal distribution,which provides the corresponding theoretical basis for this paper.Secondly,from China Merchants Bank Lanzhou based on the status quo and organizational structure of the branch,through the questionnaire survey and interview method,combined with relevant assessment theories and methods,the current performance appraisal system is deeply investigated and analyzed,and the existing problems are found and relevant causes are analyzed.Again,in the whole under the premise of the unchanged evaluation system,the performance appraisal system will be further improved and the optimization plan will be formulated.Finally,in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the optimized performance appraisal system,achieve the expected results,and improve the recognition and satisfaction of employees in performance appraisal.Strengthen organizational guarantees,strengthen process management,strengthen performance promotion,implement practical communication guarantees,establish performance appraisal appeal mechanisms,and develop performance appraisal systems,etc.,to ensure that the program can finally be heard,so that the performance appraisal level of the branch will be further improved.
