In apparel retail industry,the high turnover rate of sales staffs has always been a problem disturbing management.As main part to support sales operations,the instability of sales staffs will seriously affect retail store business operations,and smooth construction on talent pipeline.Therefore,to decrease sales staffs' turnover rate,and cultivate staffs loyalty has become a considerable topic in business management,which has important and practical meaning on retail stores' sound development.In China,the common way on human resources management is paying attention to using people rather than training them.Meanwhile,most companies are unaware of providing favorable career development platform,thus lower sales staffs' loyalty and satisfaction degree,amid high turnover rate.Learning from global apparel retail companies' successful experiences,almost all of them implement the method of unremitting comprehensive training on soft skill and technical skill to staffs.Moreover,they are devoted to setting up competitive career path to staffs.Facts proved that these kinds of training and development system could lower sales staffs' turnover rate,and keep stabilizing talent pipeline.In this paper,I will study the solution for apparel retail industry sales staffs' training and development from aspects of system setup,content & method and actual effects,through referring Chinese and Foreign literature,market data research,qualitative and quantitative analysis,combining theory and reality.Additionally,with the aids of Kirkpatrick Mode to evaluate training effects,MBTI character index to select most suitable candidate,360°feedback to conduct performance appraisal,in order to synthetically observe the effects of training and development system,thus achieve the intention of stabilizing junior staffs team.This research will be of reference value and practical meaning of business challenges,not only to F company,but also to other same type companies in apparel retail industry.
