Urban Spatial Connection And Function Of Urban Agglomeration In The Middle Reaches Of Yangtze River

In recent years,global integration and informatization have continually accelerated,which makes regional economic and spatial relations begin to be remolded,and the connection between cities has been closer day by day.Urban agglomeration is a typical representative of middle-scale.The study on the internal relations,network structure characteristics and development pattern of urban agglomeration has played a very important role in the internal urban development of urban agglomeration and the overall development of urban agglomeration.Urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of Yangtze River is located in the central part of China;it is China's important place of the strategy "rise of central China”.Choose the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of Yangtze River area as the study area and analyze the relationship of urban elements and network structure in urban agglomeration from multi-angle contact elements.This paper builds a multi-dimensional urban element network of urban agglomeration and gets the overall development pattern of urban agglomeration,then provides the basis and suggestions for the spatial structure layout and optimization of the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.This paper took the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River as the research area,combined the commonly used statistical yearbook data with geographic spatial big data,and used multidimensional urban factor flow to analyze the relationship between cities in different factor networks in urban agglomerations.The method of social network analysis was used to study the structural characteristics of different factor networks in urban agglomeration and construct the factor network of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River from multiple perspectives.Then we could summarize the function of each city,and put forward the corresponding suggestions.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:1)Wuhan,Changsha and Nanchang were three main development center cities of the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,but from the perspective of urban agglomeration,the overall radiation capacity of cities in the urban agglomeration was weak,and there were more cities with medium and low level factor flow intensity;2)The inter-city spatial connection of cities in the urban agglomeration was not close enough,and the spatial difference of urban connection degree was large.The urban connection within the same province was strong,but theinter-province connection was weak,and the influence of administrative barriers was serious;3)The suggestion on spatial layout of the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River was put forward from the perspective of points,lines and areas in this paper according to the result of valuation process.Points: The spatial layout was in "123" mode."1” was Wuhan: Wuhan was the core city of the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,with the strongest radiation capability,and the radiation capability of Wuhan was higher than Changsha and Nanchang which were also core cities."2” were Changsha and Nanchang,although Changsha and Nanchang were the core cities of the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze river,the ability to radiate and drive the development of surrounding cities was still far from that of Wuhan,so they need to improve their abilities;"3” were three sub-core cities: Yueyang,Yichang and Jiujiang.Each of the three provinces had an urban agglomeration sub-core city,which drived the development of surrounding cities together with the core city.The remaining 25 cities were divided into 16 major cities and 9 other cities.Lines: the spatial layout was like the "pin" Chinese character with three main development axes: Wuhan-Changsha,Wuhan-Nanchang,Changsha-Nanchang and three development axes: Wuhan-Yichang,Changsha-Yueyang,Nanchang-Jiujiang.Areas: The urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze river was further divided into four development areas:The cities of Hunan province and Jiangxi province were divided into one development zone,and the cities of Hubei province were divided into two development zones;4)policy suggestion:(1)Enrich and upgrade the functions of core urban cities;(2)Reduce the influence of administrative barriers on the integrated development of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze river;(3)Enhance the radiation driving capacity of core cities;(4)Improve transportation facilities;(5)Promote balanced development of regional economies.
