Under the background of the globalization of the world economy and the acceleration of regional economic integration, the global industrial structure has shifted to the service industry, and the world economy has entered the era of “service economy”.The producer service industry has developed rapidly and become the binder of economic development, the degree of the producer service industry agglomeration has also been continuously improved, and has formed an interactive development trend with manufacturing agglomeration in spatial, and the trend of producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration becomes increasingly obvious.More and more countries consider the producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration as a strategic means to optimize industrial layout and promote economic growth, forming a “two-wheel drive” development model for producer services and manufacturing industry. This paper deconstructs the economic growth effect of producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration from the spatial dimension, using the panel data of Chinese 204 prefecture-level and above city as the observation sample during2003-2016,based on the spatial weighting matrix of adjacency, geographic distance and economic distance, the exploratory spatial data analysis method is used to explore the spatial correlation between the producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration and economic growth, then further construct a spatial durbin model to investigate the direct and spatial spillover effect of the producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration to economic growth, the results show that:(1)There is significant spatial correlation between the producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration and economic growth;(2)From a general perspective, producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration not only generates regional spillovers effect, but also creates spatial spillovers effect, indicating that the promotion of producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration in some places not only promotes the local economy growth, but also led to economicgrowth of other cities indirectly.Under the economic distance matrix, the diffusion effect of producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration on the economic growth of other regions is dominant, showing a significant spatial positive spillover effect.Considering the geographical adjacency and geographical distance factors, the diffusion effect of producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration on other regions' economic growth offsets the reflux effect, the spatial spillover effect is not significant;(3)Based on the industry heterogeneity test,it is found that the high-end producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration can effectively promote city economic growth. And at the same time,it has a significant positive spatial spillover effect on the surrounding areas; The effect of the low-end producer service industry and the manufacturing industry co-agglomeration on the local economic growth is negative, spatial spillover effects are not significant. The innovations of this paper are as follows: Firstly, from the research perspective level, the paper expands the impact of producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration on economic growth to spatial dimension, breaking through the industrial dimension of existing research, and analyzes the direct impact and spatial spillover effects of producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration on economic growth;Secondly, from the research content level, the paper studies the impact of low-end and high-end producer service and manufacturing industry co-agglomeration on economic growth based on industry heterogeneity;Thirdly, from the research method level, the paper adopts spatial econometric analysis method based on the spatial weighting matrix of adjacency, geographic distance and economic distance.
